I didn't feel like 5 months was long enough for it to work so sadly I am giving it one star.

The water container that provides the steam broke. I did not force ir drop it. Was cheaply made. I called customer service & they were not helpful and did not offer to help resolve the issue. I would not recommend this straightening iron.

Awful product. The plates barely open enough to put your hair in. It doesn’t come with directions and the instructional video is useless. Thank goodness returns are easy on Amazon.

I tried both this and the $200+ Steam iron and as a hairdresser I don't really see the hype.This particular model leaked water when in use and the steam setting would turn on and off through out styling. Which defeats the purpose of the entire product.The 1.5" iron is only good for straightening shoulder length (or shorter) hair. So unless you have long hair, you wouldnt be able to curl or wave your hair with this product.I contacted Hot Tools about the alternating steam setting and was reassured that that isn't normal for this tool and was promptly sent a new one that did the same thing. I think it is normal for this tool.anyway, was unimpressed

It was great for the few strands it worked on. It didn’t just not steam, it had faulty wiring and you can hear a crackling sound when you plug it in and right before it dies in use. I used it again and the same thing happened. The third time I plugged it in, it no longer turned on. I can’t say how much I regret this purchase. My husband threw away the box so I am out the $$. I wish I had listened to the negative reviews.

This flat iron was disappointing! Unfortunately, my last steam flat iron- BaByliss pro TT water chamber broke and it's been discontinued!😭It was the best and I haven't found anything that compares.
