Left hair smelling like it was burnt. The steam feature didn’t seem to make a difference. Maybe be a better choice for someone with thicker hair versus my thin hair.

Purchased this after wanting a new hair straightener. After doing research I found that this was the most highly recommended hair straighter in a budget out. Love the idea with the steam and all. Downside is that it leaks. With the leak it runs down your arm causing some burning on the side of your arm if you decide on purchasing this hot tools steam hair straighter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to try this flat iron. The steam part works as described. It can be used without steam, which is what I needed, but the plates are not closed enough to grasp my hair. I guess you need to put a thick amount to get it to straighten your hair. I couldn't even get it to work for my bangs, my hair slide right thru and it did not straighten it. Doesn't do that with my other flat iron. Very sad
