I purchased these mainly for walking outdoors, not that easy in wintry New England, but I have used them for a couple of walks and on a few elliptical sessions. I bought them for the 2.5 pound weight and their adjustable aspect. I have used the full weight for short walks and elliptical. Longer walks may require a weight reduction. The units are not bulky, fit under jeans or sweats, and seem well-designed with the individual weights covered by small flaps. The extra weight gives the feeling of extra work. Time and use will tell as to the durability of the velcro straps and the material, hence the 4 star rating.

No real complaints. Good value for the money. 1 lb sand packs are easy enough to remove/replace. Somewhat unwieldy but that’s due to the design. The “Velcro” attachments are super strong and can be annoying if one is in a rush.

nothing fancy, gets the job done. velcro is SUPER sticky, so you'll have to work at each pouch flap to get it open if you're looking to remove the weights.

These are great for people that can keep them from rubbing against the floor when walking or rubbing against anything. I used them when walking my dog or walking in the treadmill and they’d rip pretty quickly from rubbing and I had them on pretty tight

I wish the fasteners were a bit better constructed. Otherwise great price!!

Got painful

I walk 2-3 miles, five days a week. These ankle weights perfect for the workout, but did not hold up over time. I believe the weight packets tend to shift in their holder’s, which over time, wears the fabric of both the packet and the holder, causing a black substance to leak out everywhere.

These were huge. I had to return because they covered half my calf.

I ordered this product to do "Clam Shell" exercises to heal a hip replacement. While I do like the fact that I can adjust the weights by removing the sand bags that are used to adjust the overall weight, one of the 2 arrived with a rip in the nylon at the seam. Really only need 1 at about 2 - 3 pounds, so I'm not going to bother to go to the trouble of returning. Made in China, I don't really expect much better but they were shipped in an Amazon box, and I guess there isn't a lot of quality control when they open the box and put it on the shelf to prepare individual shipments.

The straps are a pain. 2 skinny on each side that go through 2 loops each.
