When you use it, it shines a yellow light so you know where it is taking the temperature reading from. It also has instructions on the thermometer so you don't have to worry about misplacing them. It has a cap so that it can be safely stored and protected when it's not in use. One of my favorite functions are the fact it lights up green if the temperature reading is normal or red if it is an error or fever - which makes it super easy to use especially if you aren't feeling well or if you are waking up in the middle if the night to take care of someone else. My other favorite function is that the sound can be turned on or off depending on what you need. It's nice to be able to take a sick child's temperature without them waking up.

My son naturally runs hot so it’s great to have this when I feel in doubt. It is accurate you just need to make sure you aren’t measuring from widely different distances. The instructions come with a picture of how far you should be from your child’s forehead. I love that it comes with batteries. Very convenient all around.

The display lets me know with the bright digitally lit numbers and the color if there is no fever, mid grade fever or high fever. It’s quiet and I don’t need to turn on lights or even wake up the little ones when using this! The only thing I found for the best accuracy reading is making sure the hair is out of the way. Comes with a protective cap when not in use. Protecting the light that takes your temperature. Has a nice comfortable angle that allows for an even easier use for those who are not feeling well. Just simply hit the power button found at the bottom of the device and aim it directly in the middle of the forehead. Displays in C* or F* on the led screen if needed. If you have a fever the thermometer will light up yellow for mid-grade and red for high fever. Led, digital display screen to show you the temperature. Take your temperature in 2 seconds flat by aiming the light in the middle of the forehead and holding down the (blue) thermometer button. Also has a sound on/off button (located on the left side of your Braun device. Includes 2 AAA batteries. One click to turn off the Braun device. I highly recommend this product for your home health needs. I love it.
