Love that it has a cover for the lense part. Battery hasnt died, last pretty long, havent had to change it. The fact that I can take my kids temperature without waking them up is a plus. We have lost our old thermometer, and had actually looked at this one! It is a little hard to take a video of me using it accurately, you get the idea and it is really that easy! The display tells you if you are too far away so you can move it closer. Once it takes the temperature the screen illuminates in 1 of 3 colors green, yellow or red to easily tell if you should be concerned. I think that is great for the middle of the night when you are half asleep! As far as accuracy, I don't have anything to compare it to in real time, but I know what mine normally runs and this measured it pretty spot on! I like that you can turn the beep on and off too so that you don't have to wake up a child if you don't have too! After trying this out, I would definitely recommend it to my friends, and family!

Literally insert the batteries, press the power button, and place it on the forehead. Push the button and in seconds you have your temperature. It is digital so it takes the guesswork out.

It is universal because it can measure temperature both contact and non-contact. The speed is very high, it measures the temperature almost instantly. It can display the temperature in both Celsius and Fahrenheit (whichever is convenient for you). I think the battery life is high since I rarely measure the temperature.
