Spent a lot of time researching the best cantilever for us and Purple Leaf kept popping up so we decided to take a chance. We had just purchased a fire pit and four cushioned chairs and needed a lot of shade coverage. The 11 ft square did the trick. I am older so I was worried about set up but I only needed a little help lifting the umbrella into the base. I filled the base with water and it is more than enough weight for the umbrella. I had an issue with one of the arms (my mistake) and Purple Leaf is sending me another arm at no charge! Couldn't ask for better customer service. They return my emails quickly. I have been telling everyone about this company and I have had great compliments from friends about the umbrella.

When I saw the packaging I thought the umbrella would be impossible to put together. It was actually rather easy. The umbrella is a great addition to my deck. It fits perfectly and makes our deck look like it has a 'room' with a roof. What a wonderful item. It is really easy to use and beautiful. We are thinking of buying another one for our daughter's house.

Very pleased with this purchase. Love the umbrella, bought the stand made for this umbrella also by Purple Leaf. It provides great shade for our deck. We needed something very adjustable and this umbrella works. Customer service is great. We were missing some hardware when the package arrived due to some rough handling in transit. We contacted the company and missing pieces were sent right away.

It's way bigger than I expected, so I probably would have gone done one size, but I love it. They color is great, it's been holding up to the elements for several months now with no issue at all. Really blots out the sun, which is great, because my patio is positioned for maximum discomfort during prime usage times. Will report back in a year if there are any issues, but this was a great purchase.

After getting the first umbrella we loved it so much that we ended up buying a second one! They're just amazing and look so modern. They really couldn't be better and now we've transformed our outdoor space into an area we can enjoy year round! We bought the base that is placed in the ground, and we really love that since we don't have an ugly base in the way. It wasn't too bad to install it.

We ordered two of these cantilever umbrellas, one 11x 11ft and one 12 x 12ft with large Purple Leaf bases to support them. They were easy to assemble and all parts are functioning perfectly. The materials appear to be of good quality. For the size of them, they are easy to raise and lower and the winding mechanisms work well. We particularly like the ability to rotate them 360 degrees and also adjust the slope of the umbrella so that you can account for the position of the sun throughout the day. This also facilitates raising them if they're covering a dining set. We've been using them for a week and couldn't be more delighted.

Shopped around for a while for a sturdy umbrella. First I had contacted Purple Leaf directly to ask about the different fabrics and how much weight to put in the base so we wouldn’t worry about tipping. They answered my questions within 24 hours and kept in touch to see if I purchased and if I was happy with the product. The umbrella is exactly size we needed and we’re very happy with the purchase.

We have a southwest corner of our patio that gets very hot in the evening. This 9’ model fit perfectly for us. Glad we ordered their base as it made the setup easier. The umbrella is very easy to use and adjust.

We purchased both the 11' and 9' umbrellas. The 9' was showing out of stock but through great communication with Purple we were kept informed regarding it eventual availability. The umbrellas are easy to install and are very well made. We are very happy with the purchase. About a month after purchase, my wife notice a small pin hole in one of the vent panels. I was concerned that since time had past since ordering we would not be able to fix the problem. To my pleasant surprise, Purple customer service stepped right up and replaced the panel at no charge and no hassle. They shipped me a replacement panel within a few weeks. I have since replaced the damage piece and we are as good as new. I won't hesitate to order again if the need arises.

It took a while to get but after seeing how big it was and how much it weighed I can see why. Four screws; nothing on this planet assembles with four screws but this thing did and actually all they did was attach it to the base. It is so easy to maneuver up down, tilt, rotate. The only suggestion I'd have for people is put it on the side of your patio where the sun goes down. I put mine in the other side and may have to move it so the tilt blocks the evening sun.
