This umbrella was easy to set up after we got the base filled. The base wasn't particularly hard to do, just time consuming. It definitely takes two people to put the umbrella in place because it is top heavy. Once it is in place the handles used to spin it and lift the canopy work smoothly. I was very pleased with that feature and have no problems opening and closing it. The closed umbrella is quite tall, so I was afraid I wouldn't be able to manage the cover. However, there is a stiffener sewn in which makes it easy to put the cover on and take it off. The zipper is heavy duty and works smoothly.

We love this cantilevered umbrella. It is amazing quality for the price. It did take two men to set it up and get it into the stand as it’s quite heavy. It looks incredible and better than pictured. Strong and hold up in California weather.

My deck has full southern exposure making it useless during the day. I've had 12x12 gazebos which provide good shade but the four columns block access and make the space feel small. I purchased the 12' square offset umbrella to replace my old gazebo. This umbrella is very well made and easy to set up with 2 people. The controls operate fairly easily and between tilt and rotate follow the sun giving even more shade than the gazebo. Calls to customer service with questions were answered in a timely fashion with follow up to make sure I was satisficed.

after looking at many more expensive models of cantilever umbrellas with wheels we landed on this, along with the purple leaf wheeled base. It is very attractive, easy to set up, and very sturdy. The wheeled base (sold separately) is simple to use with an elegant design to lower the wheels and thus easy to move. Compared to other more expensive brands it doesn't tilt side to side, but this is not a big drawback since it can rotate and the base allows movement of the whole umbrella to follow the sun.

Looked at lots of umbrellas and reviews in stores and online, went with this model and so far am very happy. Assembled easily even though pictogram instructions are a little cryptic. Have used for about 4 months now and so far no problems. Appears to be well made. Like the open/close as well as rotate mechanism.

I would highly recommend this umbrella, We got the 9' size and it was perfect for our deck. It rotates to accommodate the angle of the sun, is solid aluminum and very sturdy. I had a slight problem with the opening mechanism and customer support worked through it with me and sent me another umbrella which works perfectly. You need to bolt it to your deck or get the base which is made for the umbrella and gives the flexibility of moving the umbrella. We filled with water. The build of this product is high quality and I would buy again.

Instead of having me return the whole umbrella Purpleleaf just replaced the Canvas part of the umbrella for free with the color I wanted! They were wonderful to deal with and the umbrella is fantastic. I did a lot of research it was the best deal for the price and I am extremely happy with the quality

I chose this umbrella because the price was good and it had very good reviews. It seems very well made. The canopy does move a bit in the wind but so far we haven't had strong winds when it was up. We mounted it in elevated concrete so it wouldn't be too low over the hot tub.

I said “almost perfect” because I know nothing is perfect. But this umbrella has met every expectation of mine. I have been using it for 2 months. If it holds up for a few years, I’ll really consider it as perfect. It’s beautiful and great quality.

This is a sturdy large umbrella (10foot) that is easy to open and close. I was unable to assemble it myself because it is sturdy it’s heavy. My husband did it without incident. I have the base stand that I fill with wAter. This umbrella is going nowhere when the occasional gust of wind comes. All my other umbrellas have gone flying out of there stands. The customer service is quick to respond with any and all questions. I will probably purchase another next year. One for pool and one for deck.
