Nice curling iron

Nice curling iron! lots of variability on the temperature, and not as easy to bump out of temp as my other curling iron. I'm a little afraid of the higher temps, but i think it's for people with thicker hair than i have. I like the swivel cord

Hot Tools delivers beautiful curls

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over the weekend I was able to use my Hot Tools 1 1/4 curling iron and received so many compliments. This curling iron is not only easy to use but delivers salon high-quality curls that last. The custom heat settings are a plus you can adjust the temperature from 280' to 430' depending on hair density and resistance. If you're in a rush no worries because the barrel heats up fast typically around 30-40 seconds.

Curls and Great for Occasional Hair Styling

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hot Tools Signature Series Curling Iron is a decent economical curling iron. I got the 1.25 inch barrel so I could create loser curls and waves than my 1 inch curler. I like that it has the swivel base and wire that Hot Tools is famous for. The cord length is long enough to curl comfortably but not so long that there is a lot of excess cord. I like that there is an on off switch and that the temperature dial is very simple. The range of temperatures is really nice to adjust for different hair types and styles. The iron heats up relatively quickly but I wish there was an indicator to show when it has reached the desired temperature. My lower end budget iron has this indicator, so I was surprised this iron didn’t. My straight fine hair had to use a higher temperature setting than was recommended for the curls to hold. I prefer a curling iron without a kickstand because it sometimes gets in the way of curling but that is a personal preference. While this iron looks very similar to other curling irons made by Hot Tools, this is from their more economical line and isn’t labeled as being made of 24K Gold like their higher end lines. The handle is made of a hard plastic and seems pretty sturdy. I found that if I held my finger higher on the plastic lever, it did feel very warm. I found that the clamp was adequate and I didn’t experience a lot of hair pulling but it was also not the smoothest to release my hair. Overall, I think this is a decent choice for an economical curling iron and for people who just want to curl their hair occasionally.

Relatively good product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is relatively good! I think for the price, it's a great tool. It gets the job done, make sure you watch youtube video tutorials on how to get beach waves with it if that is the look you are going for. Easy to use and the size is great as well.

Great Iron

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This curling is great because it gets hot and stay hot quickly. It's easy to use and see the setting for heat and usage. It was good for a flat iron and curls. It's a good length and wand. I also think it it's high quality materials and it wasn't too hot for my hair and didn't damage it at all.

Great curling iron for 25 dollars!

I’m not sure why there are so many bad reviews. It’s a great curling iron. I prefer the loser and more blown out hair look rather than tight curls and this is perfect. People saying their curls fell out within an our but mine lasted 2 days and i even brushed them out. My hair never holds curl. The only downside is that it takes a long time to heat up. i let it sit for about 5 minutes before i started and i noticed it wasn’t super hot. I left it for another 10 so in total 15 and i believe it got up to the correct temperature. This is my first Hot Tools item and i think it’s a great item for the price. (Only reason for 4 stars is the heat up time)

Great Tool for an even better Price!

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Hot Tools Pro Signature 1 1/4” Curling Iron on my normally kinky/curly hair. I wanted to test it out for an event I will be attending and I wanted soft curls in my hair. So I straightened a section of my hair, using the Hot Tools Pro Artist Curl Protector to protect my curls from heat damage. I then added some soft curls to that section, with the temperature set to the lowest recommended temperature for my hair type. Even after fingering combing the section, the curls maintained their overall shape. I am delighted and impressed. I was sent the Curling Iron by the Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest review. I definitely would purchase this with my own money and will be purposefully other sizes and products from the Hot Tools Brand from now on!

Great curling iron!

I was really excited to receive this as part of stellar panel testing program! I was in the market for a new curling iron and this one is great. It heats up quickly and my curls held really well. It was a learning curve for me to learn how to use an iron with a clam but once I figured it out it worked really well. I loved the size curls this made, great for every day wear!

Nice curling iron with good features

I received this hair care item from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I really liked the features of this curling iron. It heated up quickly, had adjustable heat, and was long so made curling the hair on the back of my head easier. My hair is a little past shoulder length and I probably could have used a slightly smaller barrel for this length hair. It did a great job curling the ends of my hair but the curls were just a bit bigger than ideal and I had a hard time getting any curl closer to the middle/top of my hair. Overall I would recommend this curling iron for longer hair and would probably go with 1" or less for shoulder length or shorter hair.

Good Staple

Overall solid curling iron. The 1 1/4 barrel was slightly too wide for my medium/fine, straight hair. I would’ve preferred a 1” to start with tighter curls I could brush out into a wave. Having said that, there were a lot of great things about the iron itself. The barrel was smooth, heated up quickly and my hair didn’t get caught in the base (no pulling). I loved the adjustable heat and the non-tangle cord. Most importantly, it took my frizzy hair and made beautiful, smooth, loose curls! Thanks Stellar Panel for adding a great new tool to my hair styling rotation #gifted
