I've been shaving my chest for 20 years, and decided to give this a go instead of trying it at a salon. This thing left a horrible, itchy rash all over my chest. The itch lasted for a couple of days, but the red spots lasted a couple weeks. Two weeks later I (stupidly) tried it again, hoping for better results. I got the same, itchy rash. In the end, I still had all my hair. Some of it turned blond for a few weeks, but none of it left. Complete waste of money and dignity.

My husband and I were so excited when we received our new PL5347; however, we have been very frustrated trying to use it. We are both light skinned, we followed the directions on how to prepare to use the IPL. But, every time we used it, it flashed a red light. We made sure the device was flush with our skin surface. Is this the way it is supposed to work? We have tried calling Braun for the past two days and cannot get through to anyone as they seem to be having difficulties with their phone system.

I used this for the first time. And like it's marketed, I didn't wear any protective eyewear. And then I woke up in the middle of the night with severe eye pain. I thought my eyes were just dry, but later during the day my eyes were still burning and blurry. And looking at any light was painful. I immediately booked an appointment with my eye doctor and I got a corneal flash burn. This product SHOULD NOT be marketed as safe without protective eyewear.

At first it is good, but after simple use it becomes much slower

I bought my device 1 year ago and it stopped flushing.

I bought this in November and have been using every week, but I don’t see any reduction in hair. It is just like how it was before. It hasn’t slowed hair growth too.

I followed the directions to a T. My coloring fits well within the range that they say will work. After 8 weeks, absolutely no change.

This ipl is quite effective if you use consistently however, mine the sensor stopped working 1.5 years into use. Braun offers zero support after 1 year. No repairs, trade in, or discounts. At such a high price I’d expect this product to last longer. Highly disappointed and will not buy Braun again

Results don’t last. Results require repeated use to zap one hair and they don’t last. Hair stays away for a many weeks but it still comes back.

I used my braun IPL for a year and in the middle of a treatment it stopped flashing, everything else worked (skin sensor etc) but instead of delivering a flash, it would only make a clicking noise. I kept the device stored properly when not in use and always cared for it per the instruction manual. Now that I’m out of the warranty window, it has completely stopped working when they claim it should last for YEARS! I’m so disappointed and would not recommend.
