I had read that if the safety feature flashed white, only then is it safe to use and the laser will work. The safety feature did flash white and I did indeed receive the laser pulses, but it caused burn marks on my skin tone despite this skin tone safety feature. Reference mac NC45).

I used this laser once a week for the first few weeks, then 2-3 times a week to see if it would do better, and now 3.5 months later I still have very little noticeable results. Used on all the Bs: beard/neck, back, butt, and balls. I tried both shaving immediately before IPL and also letting it grow for a day and the difference was that if I left it for a day the burnt hair would grow bent after IPL. I can smell burnt hair every time but no noticeable reduction.

I bought it and used it around 5 times, it started going super slow. I returned it with warranty and they sent me a new one. First 3 uses it was super fast, then the slowest. I returned it again, they sent a new one for the 2nd time. At this point this was my 3rd device. After 3 times of using it, it doesn't detect hair so the light is always red, believe me I have hair still, it is super slow and sometimes it doesn't even have red light. It did reduce my hair but it's super frustrating and not reliable at all.

Does work, not as quickly as I’d thought but now a year later it’s not working

I loved this at first. It did a great job in getting rid of/reducing and lightening hair. The reducing and lightening was something I was surprised by, I assumed it would just get rid of all hair but it didn’t on some parts. Ie. My arms, some areas might just not be dark enough for the IPL though. What my biggest issue is the hyperpigmentation after (which apparently is only an issue for darker skin). I have light-medium skin, but after using the IPL for 12 weeks, I noticed blotches all over my legs. Obviously this is pretty distressing. Not sure if it goes away either. And I followed everything they suggested about avoiding sun/using sunscreen.

I bought this a year ago and have it used it on and off since then. At the beginning I used it once to twice a week for a few months to give it a fair shot. I am pale with dark hair so I should be the perfect candidate for this. I used it on my underarms and legs, have seen no reduction in hair on my underarms and have seen little patches on my legs where the hair does not grow or grows much slower than before. Unfortunately it’s not enough for me skip shaving or to lengthen the time between shaves. Basically it’s a lot of money that I should’ve just spent on better hair removal methods (because guess what, this thing is only supposed to remove 30-70% of hair). Also the 2 parts of the power cord do not stay together so every time I try to use it I am constantly fixing the cord despite it being flat on a level surface. Third is you have to shave right before using it so it’s hard to remember which spots have hair and which don’t so you know where to target.
