[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i was very satisified with the results since i’m not expecting a dramatic color change. i just got to learn to apply faster so the color is even. i did an all over color, some parts were lighter than the others. this works perfect for root touch up for sure. scent may be a bit strong for me, but i guess it’s would be normal for others. i just don’t color my hair that often.

There are also very detailed instructions included with both the color cartridge and the colorsonic wand kit. I found it very easy to use and that the colorsonic wand distributed the hair color evenly throughout my scalp. The color Sonic wand is a one-time purchase with the hair color cartridge being the only thing you need to repurchase as needed. A great feature of the colorsonic wand is that if you do not finish all the hair color cartridge, you can save it and store it for your next use, so it doesn't go to waste. Overall, I was very satisfied with the colorsonic hair color technology and think it's a great option for anyone wanting to color their hair at home.

The L'Oreal Paris Colorsonic is an interesting new applicator that uses a hair dye cartridge to deliver color. The company recommends that new users watch videos to learn how to use the device. They provide a QR code to an instruction video, while you can find other videos by users online. After laying out the components on a provided mat, inserting and prepping the cartridge, you are ready to begin to apply the color. The comb applicator is a bit tricky at first, but I got the hang of it quickly. The most difficult part was using it on long hair. I opted for assistance with that. After setting, rinsing, and drying my hair, I did note that the coverage was more thorough than with a typical home dye. I would use this again.
