[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start this off by saying I have a lot of hair so overall I felt like this product didn’t work well for me. I chose a color I knew would not really change my hair much just to get an idea of the product. The packaging was very well done and the instructions were very easy to follow. It was easy to load the color and also to do the cleaning process. Now to the application process. It was odd. Doing roots to nape was pretty easy and seemed to work very well. But applying past that was a mess and I felt like I ran out of product before I was done. All of my hair was wet with product but it didn’t feel like enough. I most likely will not be using this product again but I can see how it could be great for some people

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Packing was beautiful. This is a good product for medium length hair. It's not enough for thick 4a-4c mid back length hair. The brush was also not effective for my texture. Overall good product idea but not for all hair types

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super excited to try this out and I’ve been anticipating getting it, but I have thick medium length hair, and one cartridge only covered half of it. I managed to do my roots and the front length of my hair, but the back didn’t get any color. I’m sadly disappointed because now I only have half my hair done, and the wording makes it seem like one cartridge is enough and that there’s even going to be more left over. I think this would be great on short hair or hair that’s not as thick as mine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the idea of this product, but in practice it didn’t work well for me. I have very thick hair and it was difficult to use and disperse evenly. I think it would work better on someone that has thinner hair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This looks like it will work great, if I had the correct haircolor. Unfortunately the wrong color was sent so I will have to go buy the correct shade.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the L’Oréal Colorsonic device, and while I was surprised by how easy it is to use, there are a couple of things that made me think twice. First, the application is super quick and precise. The device does all the mixing and applies the color evenly, which is great if you’re looking for something practical to use at home. Also, it doesn’t leave any residue or make the hair heavy, which is a plus. The issue for me is the price; I found it pretty expensive considering the additional cartridges are also costly. Plus, you can’t combine dyes, which limits your options if you like to customize the color or do touch-ups with different shades. Despite those two things, it’s still an interesting option if you’re looking for convenience and speed, but I think it’s something to consider if you’re concerned about the long-term cost.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try this hair color and applicator. However, I have mixed thoughts on it. I was initially impressed with the packaging and how clearly labeled everything was. My first disappointment was when I realized it needed to be charged before using. It didn’t take as long as I thought it would, maybe 20-30 minutes but when you’re ready to color and then have to wait on a charge, it’s a bit of an inconvenience. Waiting for the applicator to warm up didn’t take a super long time, once I realized how to do it. I had to mess with it a bit to get it to actually warm up, the instructions say to hold the power button until the brush head moves but it needs a bit longer than just a small movement, if you don’t, the applicator will just turn off and not actually warm up. Using the hair color applicator for a root touch up would be a breeze with this but refreshing or coloring your mid-lengths and ends is not as easy and mess free. As a former hair stylist, I would say this may be the most complicated way to apply color to mid-lengths and ends, but honestly the root area, I’d give it 5 stars for ease of use. Maybe there’s a learning curve on that part of it but for the price point, who wants to try to figure that mess out when you can just get it in a bottle and apply it on your own? The color itself turned out pretty, I wouldn’t say it was accurate to the label. I used 6A (ash) which should tone out any warmth but I don’t think it did a great job at that. Still a pretty color and seems to be evenly distributed through my hair. Overall, I’d say that I wouldn’t personally buy this hair color or applicator. The price point alone wouldn’t make it worth it for me but I will give credit to them for such a clever idea.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, the device is very cool and fairly easy to use; eliminates the need for bowls and brushes in order to apply the hair color. Super quick to start the color application! On the downside, the box to store the wand is quite big and since I keep all cables/accessories in it for convenience, I had to make sure I had enough shelf storage for it. Application/hair color: I have dark brown natural hair color and the dye color with the namesake shade name matches it well overall (great!). However, the dye itself is very thin and runny, so please be prepared with gloves, plastic cover (if dying around porous surfaces) and wipes for your face. My greys are fairly minimal and close to my face, so guess what - that dye went running down my forehead right away :) I imagine it gets better after multiple uses and one gets a bit better at managing the process, but please be prepared for the messiness the first time. Another note on the hair dye: I assume either because of the viscosity or the formula itself, it didn’t last long enough on my greys, so I’d need a repeat session sooner than later :( Clean up of the device isn’t too bad at all, it does all the work (just plug the water cartridge!), make sure to leave it all to dry disassembled and on protected surfaces.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the idea of being able to dye my own hair with ease, and the L'Orea Colorsonic definitely makes the dying process a lot easier. The instructions and setup are pretty easy and straightforward. I love that they provided a charging cord, but I really didn't love that it required me to wait 2 hours to charge before I could use it. I love that the Colorsonic is reusable, I just wish it came with a case to store the tool and possibly a single cartridge. Using the lengthens adapter helped when combing through my hair, but it did still get stuck in my hair a bit. The conditioner provided smelled good and worked well. I also like the shine of the color once my hair dried.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who regularly does my own root touch-ups, I was really excited to try this. The concept is super innovative—less mess, even application, and a more streamlined way to color your hair at home. I also love that the packaging is eco-friendly. That said, after reading the instructions, I realized it might not work for my specific hair needs. I have a balayage and typically only color about an inch of root. The instructions recommend applying color from the hairline all the way to the nape of the neck, which would end up covering my highlights—something I want to avoid. This device seems much better suited for people with one overall hair color or for those looking to completely refresh or change their color. Another thing to note: there’s no way to see how much product you’ve used or how much is left in the cartridge. That makes it a bit stressful, especially if you're worried about running out before finishing your whole head. It would be great if they updated the device with a clear indicator for product levels.
