My daughter is going to school for cosmetology so she helped me out using it and cutting my hair after. According to her every new color needs a cut. The color was a great match actually. Tamed a lot of my brassiness I was getting from the old blonde. This thing is so easy to use. It makes coloring your hair way less stressful and takes way less time. It isn't nearly as messy. I didn't have color dripping of my forehead or down my back. If you are looking for a better way to color at home give this a try. There are so many color cartridges for it. My hair also felt soft afterwards. Not like straw.

This works for me in between to extend my color and thus, saving some money until my next salon appointment. I did seem to achieve full gray coverage and I always feel my grays are stubborn.
