I would buy this product again

Came as expected. Directions were a little hard to read as they were a copy with very small lettering. However, I was able to connect with the iRobot customer support and they were able to help me set it up!! I love it!!

Great for every day use!

This vacuum is what we needed! With two hairy dogs the vacuum does a great job keeping the floors cleaner! The robot doesn’t seem to remember floor plans or where it’s home is. It seems like a drunk vacuuming but does get everywhere eventually! We supplement using our Dyson once a week just to get a deep cleaning but the Roomba does a great job.

Good value, but lacking features that may be worth the extra money

The vacuum does a good job sweeping up small debris and pet hair. It is not programmable to clean only certain areas and probably isn’t the best in terms of finding it’s way around tight areas. It frequently traps itself in the dining room under the chairs - finds its way in, but can’t find its way out. Transfers wells between hardwood flooring and area rugs. Battery strength is good for about an hour and a half -sufficient for the main level of our home which is 2000 sq ft. I probably will move this one upstairs and purchase a model with mapping features for the main level as there are areas such as the dining and living rooms which do not need daily or every other day vacuuming. It definitely sold me on the benefit of having a Roomba as I was vacuuming the primary living areas daily to mitigate accumulation of pet hair. I still use a regular vacuum for deeper cleaning but this serves the purpose for which it was purchased.

Doesn't always return to home base.

I feel it does a "decent" job of picking up light debris like pet hair but not so great with food crumbs. Also, if you set it up in an area where it can travel into and out of different rooms, it only returns back to the charging base (on it's own) about 60-70% of the time.

Good Pickup

I've had my iRobot for two weeks. I have a wood floor in my kitchen and carpet in my family room in an open concept. The iRobot does a fair good in picking up. After about the third time running it, I can see a pattern forming in the path it takes for each room. Don't move the furniture. It maneuvers around it. I haven't read the manual or setup the controls through the app on my phone yet, but I like the fact that I can do other things while the Robot is cleaning the floors. It has a long run time too.

Worked great for 2 weeks

I received this on Christmas and on January 7th the side brush stopped spinning, I am so bummed! I took it apart and found some debris but I didn't think it was enough to cause a malfunction. Upon further research it looks like the side brush motor has already burned out and needs replacing.

Awesome for in between cleaning

The media could not be loaded.  It was easy to set up. It said it needed to charge for 3 hours but it had enough battery to complete a test run. The app is wonderful and you can set up a schedule. I do recommend picking up objects that it can't move around. It doesn't work well on carpets so shut doors.

needs to be babysat

ok so if i really don’t care what it picks up it’s fine (i have animals so if the goal is to just pick up the excess hair) but if i have something i want it to vacuum it’s so freaking annoying it drives me crazy. with its “adaptive” cleaning pattern it may go over a mess one time bump into the wall and then run away to the other room and never come back before it says the job is “complete”. IT DRIVES ME INSANE. i literally have to babysit this thing whenever it’s running to make sure it actually picks everything up like it obviously helps me more then myself going around the house and vacuuming everyday but dang for this price you would hope it would be just a tad bit smarter. if you can afford it spring for one of the models with the “neat row” cleaning style so then when it hits something it doesn’t just RUN AWAY. the other thing it does is it may take the whole 90 minute charge to sweep my house and STILL miss the mess. like i don’t have time to do this cleaning so i am grateful for the device but i could literally sweep my whole house accurately in a third of the time.

Love this thing!!! But loud and won’t go to its home when I tell it to

This thing is a game changer! I run it once every day. I don’t know if I’m ever going to use my vacuum again. The pictures I included is the dirt and dust that it vacuumed from under my dresser and my bed after only 10 minutes. Please note that it’s been a while since it’s been cleaned under there so that is why there so much, but I was shocked at what it picked up! Also included a picture where it was able to get under my dry sink but not between the legs, you can see the spot that it got and the spot that I did not. So it works very well with suction!Two complaints. One is that it’s very loud. Annoying when you’re trying to watch tv or hear someone from another room. Also, when I tell it to go to it’s home, sometimes it takes 2 minutes, sometimes 25 minutes and other times I have to pick it up and charge it because the battery will die and it won't make it home in time. I don’t understand it. It will be circling right near the home and I think it’s going to go home and nope! It turns around and goes in another room. Very annoying!! But overall, I am pleased with its performance.

I love my roomba, gets stuck easily though

If u have pets their fur will clog the rotor periodically (clean once every month or so).The charging is a bit finicky sometimes but its just because dirt/grime gets on the charge panel sometimes and stops it from making contact.The roomba loves to get stuck under things but this is mostly just cause my house has items that are the exact height for it to get stuck.
