Great Buy Would Buy Again

(Originally top rated Kiplinger Tax Cut, bought by H%26R Block many years ago.) I was introduced to this in 1995 and have trusted it and used it every year since then. Although taxes are getting more complicated, this software makes it easier to get the job done.

In order to download the software, you go to the activate.hrblock.com site. If you copy/paste your activation code into the website's field, it may not be accepted - a _subtle_ red outline appears around the input field. It's the hyphen in the activation code they send you, that isn't accepted by the website. I simply deleted the hyphen and the code was accepted. Typing in the code works just fine. FYI, copy/pasting the activation code works fine in the actual software, once you've installed it!

Your website was straight forward in the sale of this product, I had bought this item previously from the H%26R Block website and they sneaked in an unwanted extra, they couldn't just remove the extra so I cancelled the order. I hate sneaky websites with sneaky shadowy extras.

I've been using H%26R Block for years and keep coming back to their tax prep software. It is thorough, easy to use, and certainly takes the edge off of year-end tax returns.

I'm 66 and started using TaxCut software, now known as Block Deluxe, a long time ago, probably 1992 or so. Each of those years I've been very happy with the software and its interview process, as well as going directly to forms. and it has gotten more and more natural to use! Such as importing 1099's from Fidelity and other such places. Highly recommended!

Several of my family used the downloaded program to e-file Federal and prepare PA state for mailing. Worked great. The only problem for me was a glitch with last year's AGI needed for e-file. I knew last year's PIN, which was an alternative according to IRS, but wasn't able to be entered in the HRB program. I hope you continue the downloadable program for future years.

I've used H&R tax software for several years, since Taxact free started collecting data in the cloud. I prefer to download and store all my records on my own computer. Other than free e:file for fed, everything is under my own control. Much appreciated and will use it again 2024 as long as death doesn't supercede taxes. That much is certain.
