Definitely the best belt I've ever used. I haven't had it for long so I can't speak to its lasting durability, but my first impressions are that this belt will last a long time. My biggest (and really only) complaint is that the mechanism to release the belt is difficult to operate. The first time I used the belt it took several minutes before I could get it off which was very frustrating. Now that I'm more comfortable with using the belt, I do find it a bit easier, but the mechanism seems to stick at times requiring a good amount of force to release it.

The only reason I gave this a 4 star rating, By the picture provided I was hoping for a thicker belt. Other than that the buckle works and holds without slipping backwards when you sit down as other belts do. This is a good belt to purchase it looks great and looking forward to waring it for a long time.

I bought two of these belts, a brown and a black one. The brown one is a little too thick and causes the ratchet teeth to not let go as easily as the black one. The brown one has more cushioning for some reason and feels great, but I have stopped wearing it because of the extra struggle with the buckle. The black one on the other hand is great and comes off with ease.

I was impressed that the underside of the belt is marked in one inch increments and is easily cut to a length that allows proper use of the ratchet in the buckle. The belt is comfortable. I have no need for the gift box. However, the latch on the buckle is a little stubborn and the belt is not adjustable—it can be cut to shorter length. It is marked in one inch increments which is handy.

Cut belt to about 3-4" more than my waist size, seems to work out well. The buckle was very difficult to remove the first couple of times, seemed stuck, but now it works fine. I'm happy with it.

I have another one of these belts from a different manufacturer and like the release better. The release in this one is thin and hard to activate. I have to pull in the belt and release the tension. Other than that, it is very nice and a great buy for the money.

I have a couple of the highly advertised, higher cost brand of ratchet belts and I have to say these, for the money, are better overall. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is I don't like the mechanism quite as well as the major brand. Not that it's bad, just a little more complicated. Still, these are a great belt for about 1/2 the cost of the other slide brand. Highly recommended!

I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality. I would recommend sizing at least 1 to 2 sizes larger than your normal belt size for comfort/range i.e. 33" waist = 37/38 belt size. I made mine to a 36, still fits, though with limited amount of adjustability.

Had to cut to fit but that's ok

I would give the Marino Men’s slide belt in umber a 4.5. for looks. For price, it gets a 5 star rating, especially when compared to the much more expensive “Slide Belt.” The technology of this belt only gets 3 stars. The reason for this lower rating is two fold. One, it is old technology and two, it is built for right handed people not southpaws. I normally put my belt around in a clockwise direction, which then places the release mechanism in the “up” position not the normal “down” position. Still, I highly recommend this product.
