Gigi Brazilian Waxing, totally disappointed

I was not happy about the machine at all. I had to heat the wax myself since the machine is taking long time around 2 hrs. I did not like the applicators as they are not applicable except the bigger one. In regards to the wax, I was unable to use it because it was sticking on my limbs and did not go easily, and remain on my legs and arms for days!. I am totally disappointed about it and feel bad since I am unable to use it.

I hate this kit so much, so much

DON'T BUY THIS!! DON'T! The wax is awful. You will never be able to get it off your hand and it will drive you insane. This set is cheap and worthless. Don't buy. Worst wax kit ever.

Breaks the hair instead of pulling it out at the root.

I got this as a gift, and I wanted this wax to work so bad. I have a license in cosmetology- so I know what I'm doing. That's not the problem... This wax removes maybe a quarter of the hair...and BREAKS the rest off at skin level. So you end up with regrowth quickly.

Don't buy. Cheap and ineffective.

Product was open and oil had leaked everywhere. Wax sticks to the skin, coming off in small patches rather than one piece, and didn't even remove hair. DVD was missing. So disappointed.

Prepare for sticky fingers, a sticky house and a clogged bathtub/sink

This is why I would NOT buy this after trying it out: 1. Takes about 1h to heat up. This didn't bother me too much. 2. The big applicator is still too small. The smaller ones are useless. Worse than 1. but still good. 3. This wax (the soft one) is darn sticky - the stickies thing I've ever experienced! I had to stop mid-process because I could not un-stick the applicator off my hand. Anyhow, could not use my fingers anymore. Took pictures of sticky fingers, will post them. Tried for about an hour to wash that wax off - used soap (liquid/solid), alcohol and nail polish remover. Nothing works. Clogged my bathtub, need to call someone tomorrow. I am lucky to be renting, otherwise I'd had to pay for that. My place is a sticky mess. I can type because I "dried" my hands in paper towel and it did stick to my fingers. Will post pics of that, too. I'll give it one more try with hard wax (got one box separately) and will update this. So far, disaster. Forgot to mention - I used to do this all the time myself, with good, hard wax from Eastern Europe. Heated in a dedicated pot, using a nice, wooden kitchen spatula. I guess I'll go back at improvising. Ok, there is something positive to say - it does remove hair nicely and it doesn't hurt AT ALL. But it got too messy before I could finish so now I'm walking around "half-done"!

Don't buy this!!!!

This product is a waste of money!!! I tried using the wax that comes with it and no hair was removed at all!!!!!! I was using the Sally Hanson microwave wax and it works much much better. The strips that come in this kit didn't work at all. I also bought the hard wax that doesn't require strips but I was told to use them well guess what the wax wouldn't stick to them. I'm going to try and return this to the store. I'm really not happy about this whole kit.

Chemical Burns from Aftercare. Would not recommend AT ALL.

I only put one start because I had to in order to write my review. I am not at all please with this product. Yesterday my cosmetologist came to my house with her new waxing kit. she freshly opened it at my house from the Box. Her and I let the wax heat up and then began to wax my eyebrows, once she had finished waxing my eye brows and the surrounding areas were burning pretty bad (keep in mind we were using the wax for sensitive skin) and I told her that it was kind of hurting. She said Oh we will put on some "after cooling gel" which comes in the Mini Pro Kit. Once she applied the "after cooling gel" which contains aloe vera and menthol I Immediately jumped from my seat and had to rush to get water on it since it was burning twice as much as it was before, needless to say there was chemical reaction between the wax residue and the cooling gel that burned the skin off of my eyelids. I have contacted this company and hopefully I hear back soon. I will be going to the doctors for this today and hopefully it does not scar. I would not recommend getting this kit at all unless you like the feeling of burning skin. Only positive note is that it wasn't a bikini wax!!!

An absolute nightmare - never again

First of all, it's a complicated set up with lots of moving parts. Add to that sticky bubble gum wax that gets absolutely everywhere. And then.... the actual waxing, oh boy. Pain and bruising and waxy residue galore - and that was after the first two strips. Then I gave up because it was way too much effort than it was worth. So I put the wax residue remover all over my inflamed inner thigh (which didn't work well), and decided to leave it there and get my bikini waxed professionally instead forevermore. What a disaster. Why is this product getting positive reviews? Never ever use this.

What a mess and a waste of time!

I'm not sure if other brands are better. But this brazilian hard wax is by far the worst of all hair removal option I tried. I don't even know where to begin. 1st, it took forever to get warmed up. It's definitely not 20 mins like they said on the demo video. Then, you'd deal with a huge mess. I'm a very neat person and I tried what I could to not make any drizzle. But it's simply impossible. The wax goes everywhere. On the sink, on the heating device itself, on the floor, on the area of your skin and hair even if you don't want it to be. Once it's stuck to your hair, it's impossible to get it off. It can't be washed off by water and soap. So if its gets to the part of the hair you didn't want to remove, all you can do is to cut the hair. What's more is the little bits of wax got left on your skin also can't be washed off. Now after a wax job and a shower, my skin looks like it's been sunburned because of the bits and pieces of wax got left behind. The heating device also overheats the wax, with time, you feel the wax burns your skin. And not to mention a hair removal job usually takes me half an hour. This time, it took more than two hours and the result is not even nearly as good. I'm definitely going to back to my old technique.
