I have three types of smart plug. Two from Lutron, never a problem but expensive and two others. I changed to TP link after some unresponsive issues with the first. I had similar issues with TP link, but after a firmware update, haven’t seen issue again. The original needed multiple updates but problem also now seems to be resolved. Connection reliabilty is a high priority.

So, let me start by saying that I'm someone who once struggled to operate a toaster, but now I'm here to share my unexpectedly hilarious experience with the TP-Link Tapo Matter Supported Smart Plug Mini. Strap in for a rollercoaster ride of smartness and laughter!**Design That's "Mini" But Mighty:** These plugs might be mini in size, but don't let that fool you! They pack a punch, handling up to 15A/1800W with ease. They fit snugly into any socket without hogging the space, which is a plus for those of us who prefer our plugs to be low-key.**Setup Made for Tech Wizards and Bumbling Magicians Alike:** The setup process was as simple as singing the ABCs (well, almost!). Connect to your 2.4G Wi-Fi, tap a few buttons, and voilà! It's ready to make your appliances dance at your command. Even techno-phobes like me can manage it without summoning the IT department.**Voice Control Shenanigans:** Oh, the joy of commanding your devices with just your voice! Alexa, Google Home, Apple Home – they all become your obedient minions. There's something oddly satisfying about asking your smart assistant to turn off the lights and feeling like a wizard in the process.**Certified Smartness:** UL Certified? Check! This plug meets the safety standards, so you can rest easy knowing it won't turn your home into a scene from a sci-fi movie gone wrong.**Three Musketeers of Plugs:** The fact that it comes in a pack of three is like having a trio of trusty sidekicks ready to make your life easier. It's like the Three Musketeers, only these musketeers are here to save your energy bill and make your home smarter.**A Word of Wisdom:** While these plugs are phenomenal, they do require a 2.4G Wi-Fi connection. If your home is Wi-Fi-challenged, these plugs might throw a little tantrum.**Conclusion:** In the end, the TP-Link Tapo Matter Supported Smart Plug Mini is the smart home accessory you never knew you needed. It’s easy to set up, plays well with all the major smart assistants, and adds a sprinkle of magic to your mundane appliances. If you're ready to dive into the world of smart homes and want a dose of humor along the way, these plugs are your ticket to a tech-savvy wonderland! Now excuse me while I go tell my lamp to turn itself off – because that's the level of laziness I've achieved, thanks to these plugs!

I can't ever get enough chargers and plugs and support for all my devices. I love being able to control things when I'm not at home. Best of all, it's easy to set up and use! Wowza!

Unlike many smart outlets, this when is nice and compact. It does not add too much depth and does not block adjacent outlets. Adding to the TP-Link app and Alexa app is simple and went off without a hitch.

We changes our Wi-Fi gateway and our old plugs didn’t want to connect. They were tough to deal with in the 1st place.Bought them based on reviews and Xfinity having these on a compatible list. I’ve only had them 1 day and will be using for Xmas tree and my leg lamp.Downloaded the app, get it all set up, plugged one in and Boom! I had it connected in less than a minute. Realized I plugged it into the upper socket when I wanted the lower socket, so I moved it down and it reconnects without issue. Followed all instructions to connect it to Alexa and they are now voice controlled.Plugged the next 2 in and connection seemed easier. I was confused I did something wrong since it seemed like less steps. My only criticism is that I bought the 3 pack instead of a 4 pack 🤦♂️.Highly, highly recommended.
