Learning curveIt took a while to get connected to Alexa, but once I did they are working well.

I purchased these smart plugs because most other plugs require 2.4 ghz WIFI and neither my iPhone nor my Google router have the capacity to restrict to 2.4. This rendered all my older smart plugs inoperative when I changed my WIFI setup. These smart plugs support Method, a new standard and it was possible to use that protocol to connect them to an Echo Studio. Based on this initial success, I purchased and set up more plugs.Although nothing on my network changed, after a week they all disconnected and stopped working. This required resetting each one and reconnecting each back to the Echo Studio. With much practice, this didn't take long, but was still a bother. Now they are all working again, but I have no idea what happened or if they will continue to do so.For this reason, I’m giving 4 stars and will update the review if they all disconnect again.

I purchased these plugs to replace my Gosund plugs. Once you download the Tapo app it's pretty simple step by step installation. I was able to link the plugs to my Alexa app and set schedules for various devices in my home. Super simple! I recommend these even if you're not tech savvy!

Yeah.No.Another app that may or may not be cross compatible....sorry just tired of nothing having a single stepping off. Sensibility would have dictated adding/expanding the functionalities to the existing kasa app. Also it didn't even see Alexa for integration, only seeing Google tuya & smart things, all of which a really paltry with connection details, typically not showing IP or Mac, or neither, making a device rich environment extremely difficult to troubleshoot. So, no, back they went. Matter isn't all the along yet yo consider the hassle of these to make them critical to so called cross platform adoption.

After trial and error I was able to set multiple on/off times on one plug. Either I’m dense or the instructions are poor.

I had a bit of a hard time setting this up with Home assistant. I eventually got it working but it took some fiddling. Setting it up with the tapo app was super easy tho
