Very easy to install. And the coverage is amazing.

I own a large, single level home. Because my router is located at one end of my home, the wi-fi signal needed some boosting at the other end of the home. I was able to connect this Linksys router to my Century 4141 router in a reasonable amount of time. After finding a suitable place for this extender in a central location, the wi-fi signal is much improved at the farthest reaches of my home.

When it comes to WI-FI problems, nothing is perfect. There are so many variables that affect the signal. This has reduced the annoying buffering, pixelating, and freezing. To a point where it’s tolerable. VERY easy to set up. GREAT transaction, fast delivery, THANKYOU!

I needed wifi out in the back shed and this unit works amazingly at doing it. I wanted to use a ethernet cable for a wired backhaul and it works great. Setup was easy and now I've got wifi in the shed for my security cameras.

This product arrived as expected, setting it up was very easy.

I'm a software engineer and have been configuring networking gear for decades now. Getting this device configured was pretty much the expected de facto standard experience with the standard and expected interface if you've ever worked with access points and routers.I used it to extend the range from my astrophotography gear, which I had setup at least 50 yards away from the house. I was able to get 80%+ signal power from inside the house with this device and as fast a transfer speed as any other time I was connected directly to my imaging controller. There was no noticeable degradation. It uses a little more power and takes up more space physically than some of the chinese brand repeaters/extenders I tried out before this, and that does matter in my case because I'm running everything on my astrophotography rig from a battery. The less power being consistently used, the longer I can run overnight. WIthout the extender I can easily run through the full night, but with it I was reduced to between 7-9 hours depending a bit on operating conditions. In the end, I went with this one anyway because it offered the fastest speeds and furthest range as well as supporting the newest WiFi protocols. I suspect the extra power was necessary to push the signal further as opposed to just being more overhead to run the device itself, which then affords me better speeds at the further distances. I also felt it's firmware is more likely to be kept up to date and fixed for security holes if any arise. An extender, as this one, will often create a second network with the same SSID of your original network but with "_ext" at the end. If the security on your extender is hackable, then it's an entry point into the network it's extending, too. You don't necessarily want to dismiss security just because this isn't a full-blown gateway in and of itself.

The only downside was that we had to create a 2nd WiFi name using this extender, but that wasn't a big negative for us. It effectively increased the range of our WiFi by over 200 feet. Really easy to install and use. Excellent speed and coverage.

The LINKSYS WiFi Wireless Range Extender gave a nice boost to our wireless network. It is replacing a much older Linksys range extender, but this one supplies much needed boost in coverage and signal strength. I’m using both bands, 2.4GHz and 5Ghz. I’m guessing that the WiFi 6 spec is where most of the performance improvement comes from. As well as a stronger antenna. Setup was pretty straight forward but took a little bit of time to familiarize myself with the interface. I know just enough (not) and wireless networks to be dangerous, lol. But I figure it out. Everything is secure and password protected. Love the performance boost!

The extender is being used to get wifi to my barn. It's about 200' away and the signal is strong.

For this to work with a nighthawk router as a wireless ap with wired backhaul. Very easy to do following the instructions. The range isn’t phenomenal, but it enough to reach the places my router couldn’t. I think it’s great value for the cost. It seems to reach close to the advertised speed, and seems to hold a consistent signal within the areas of my house I wanted to extend coverage. This is through a floor, and maybe spans 20 feet or so. It is great for the value if you intend to use as wired back haul. I have no idea how it functions as a wireless extender as I did not test that. It supposedly has that capability, but I’ve never been a fan of adding more latency by adding a wireless hop in my connection.
