The installation was so easy that I thought I installed the extender incorrectly. Called tech support and spoke with a wonderful agent who walked me through the steps to verify that the install was correct. Will repurchase this extender again for additional wifi coverage in my home.

Review for: Linksys WiFi 6 Wireless Range ExtenderThis 'range extender' can actually be used two different ways. The first way is to just find a good location, plug it into a wall outlet and it will 'extend' your wifi signal. It is pretty easy to setup in that mode, especially if you already have a compatible LInksys router. The second way is an 'access point' which means this would be connected to your network via an ethernet cable. Setup is a little more difficult - you need to access the extender via a web browser on a computer that is connected to the same network.I tried this extender in both modes and I thought it worked great. Since I am using pfsense on a Protectli 6 port, I am going to use this in 'access point' mode

Once setup this is a nice WIFI extender by a very reputable company. Only problem is, setup can be a little tricky and took me about 3-4 times of pressing the WPS button to get it to configure. Range is good and connection seems solid and fast. Love that its small and can just plug directly into the outlet instead of having to sit on a desk or table. This allows you to plug it in behind furniture, etc., and have it out of the way but still work great.

We have an inground pool and deck area that is about 40 feet from our back door that we spend basically all summer in. For years now I have been wanting to get a WiFi extender that could extend the coverage enough to cover the area so that we can use all of our electronics and music and whatnot without using either our cellular hotspot of data. So when I saw this I figured it was worth a try!Now I’m not the best at installing stuff like this, so I inlisted my brother in law to help since he does stuff like this all the time. I don’t know all the ins and outs of why, but I do know that he came over on a Saturday early afternoon to install it and spent a good 3 hours trying before he told me he was going to have to do some research and try again because he was frustrated and couldn’t get it to work. He came back the next weekend and was able to set it up in like 30 minutes, so whatever he looked up seamed to help. Now that the hard part is done and it is set up it seams to be working pretty well. We get coverage out by the pool area now, though I haven’t had time to extensively test this and make sure that it is consistent throughout the day since it’s still cold here. But so far so good.

Dear Linksys WiFi 6 Wireless Range Extender,You had me at "1.8 Gbps Speed". I mean, who needs the outside world when you can download it in seconds? Your 2024 release is like a fine wine, it just gets better with age.Your 2,000 sq. ft coverage is more than my humble abode deserves. Now, even my garden gnome can binge-watch his favorite shows in 4K. I'm not sure if he appreciates it, but I certainly do.Your setup was so simple, even my technophobe cat could do it. She's now considering a career change from mouse catcher to network engineer. In conclusion, dear Linksys, you've extended not just my WiFi range, but also my heart (and my cat's career prospects). Here's to many more years of buffer-free streaming and seamless video calls.Yours digitally,Grumpy Spud

I followed the written directions for the WiFi 6 range extender setup in wireless mode. I was previously using a different extender that had issues dropping the 2.4 GHz band, but coverage was fine. I'm running basic cable internet giving speeds around 400 Mbps down and 12 Mbps up.Setup, from the basic directions, I thought was going to be pretty simple. However, it ended up taking quite a bit longer. I tried to set it up first using a router that had WPS re-enabled. With the instructions provided, I was able to setup the 2.4 GHz band. However, the 5 GHz band failed, repeatedly. After a few tries, I switched over to manually setting it up by connecting to it. It had to first be reset.Resetting was a pain. Again, I followed directions and went through the two steps for reset. It did not want to reset. I restarted it (unplugging/plugging). Tried again. Finally after about the 3rd or 4th time, the SSID pops up and I'm able to connect to it.After reset finally worked, everything else went smoothly. I was able to setup in dual band, move the extender to the final destination, and test.Coverage was better than expected. The last extender was about three or four years old, and so it was using a little older of a standard and technology. There was also less of an issue extending the 5 GHz band out further, which the last extender had problems with, along with sometimes dropping 2.4 GHz. Our house is about 100 years old, has thick horsehair plaster walls, and a garage with chicken wire and stucco. The signal for 2.4 GHz is nice and strong through my house and into the garage. The speed drop that I was expecting from using this as a wireless extender was as expected. I had no expectation of getting back what my router might put out or a wired AP. Since the extender has to communicate in both directions with my router in wireless mode, I was expecting around 1/2 (+/-) the speed, and that is what the results were from several tests since when the device had been setup up until now.Aside from the pain of setting this up, this works great and is able to provide better coverage through areas that previously were struggling. So far I've experienced no drops. Everything else, including the speed, was as expected. I'll eventually switch this over to a wired extender and update my review.

The RE7350 does work pretty well. I have noticed at times when traversing from one coverage area to the next the extender does not always connect. But overall it works well.

Extender works fine after trying to figure out how to install and setup. Linksys software to setup stops working halfway through setup.
