Love this new wand. The instructions actually teaches your child about each part so they understand what each part is used for. Instructions recommend removing battery when not using, but it’s not so easy for little fingers. I’m hoping it doesn’t burn through them too quickly without removing them. A bonus is it does come with 2 sets of batteries - it seems no toys come with batteries these days!

My daughter (9) loves this wand! She got it for Christmas and used it non stop. After 6 months of constant use, the battery connector shifted and stopped fully supplying power so I contacted Kano tech support. AMAZING customer service. They sent her a brand new wand free of charge to replace the one that wore out. And she still is loving the programming and the complete submersion into the harry potter world. We were able to get this wand on a lightening deal. Had we paid full price I may have been disappointed that it wore out but their customer service makes up for their prices. Great product, a little pricey, but worth it!

Great product! Being big fans of Harry Potter, it was great to share this magical experience with our 4 year old son. Even upon opening the packaging we were all instantly engaged with the beautiful high-end design. Our son loved being able to build the wand with us. Setup was easy on our iPad, the app was very user friendly! Interactivity with the wand was amazing and even our 4 year old was starting to get the hang of putting coding blocks together with the easy touch and drag interface. Definitely would recommend it as a great introduction to coding and fun game experience for your kids or as a gift... especially those who love the magic of Harry Potter!

As someone who works at a large financial institution, I have seen first hand that coding ability is an extremely valuable skill that is almost a requirement to succeed in today’s technology driven workplace. I ordered the Kano Harry Potter coding kit to not only give my Harry Potter obsessed son a fun new toy, but also to help him learn some computer and coding skills at the same time. The wand building was very straightforward and made of high quality materials. It easily paired with our tablet, and we very quickly began to discover the 70+ coding challenges that are available. In addition to the built in code lessons, there is a great online community that has endless other code challenges for him to explore. Creating a personal avatar and earning new costumes keeps him engaged and wanting to do more. This is one of the best educational toys I’ve ever bought him!

This product is great! I was a little worried about it not working due to some of the reviews but we have no issues with it. It is installed on my sons Ipad Mini 2 (iOS 11) and works flawlessly. There is no glitching like one review claims. So far it does not really have any connection with Harry Potter but my son who loves Harry Potter loves the wand and program just the same. He feels as though HE is a wizard at school learning spells. The challenges are fun and not complicated, it's a great intro to coding much like other apps. This was worth the money spent just to see the learning and creativity spark in his eyes!
