broke two in a years time---dont waste your money

I would spend the extra money to buy a better quality salad spinner

almost perfect but I give it 1 star because the one flaw makes it un- usable in my opinion. There's some sort of gear grease that is exposed to the food area. water could get up there and drip fairly easily back into my food... no thanks

I had an OXO salad spinner for many years and it worked fine. Even though my old spinner worked fine I decided to buy a new one, and I got rid of the old one. The one I bought looked similar to my old one. It might be slightly smaller and the pump design has been changed. This new spinner is terrible! It doesn’t get the greens dry. The problem seems to be that the new pump design doesn’t spin as fast as my previous one did. I don’t understand why OXO took a good design and made it worse. OXO said they no longer have the old design.

If a salad spinner makes a scraping sound, that means its going to be scraping plastic into your food. Even empty you can hear plastic scraping onto plastic. FAIL. Spend money for a decent one instead.

Spin basket has become warped and will not spin properly if at all. The packaging and item description "blurb" clearly states it is safe to wash on the top rack of dishwasher; which is the method I used to wash the spinner/bowl and bottom side of the top which seperates from the top part where the handle/plunger is. I wash the top cover/plunger - by hand to be able to be sure it is completely rinsed of lettuce pieces or soap residue. I've used it about 14 times at most - and this last time I washed as I always did on the top rack of the dishwasher. The basket has warped and it longer spins. It clearly is not made to last nor is the basket truly dishwasher safe. I am disgusted that any store or manufacturer has absolutely no respect for wasting a customers money - by selling/manufacturing what turns out to be garbage. I for one, as many others have worked very hard for my money and deserve to get decent quality products. To begin with this product is not inexpensive; however the spinning basket has not lived upto it's expectation nor to the description of the product. It clearly states dishwasher safe on top rack. I want a refund - this spinner is defective - not as described as to being dishwasher top rack safe. TARGET ARE YOU LISTENING? OXO ARE YOU LISTENING?
