Use it for quick pickup inbetween deeper cleaning. Important to keep filter clean for better suction of course! Does pretty good job on carpet or floors. I like it a lot.

The Shark SV1106 Navigator is a good little sweeper for every day general use, being lightweight, cordless is ideal for someone like me in my mid-70s. The docking charging station is quite easy to use. This is our third one buying the first two at Bed Bath and Beyond. They are both still working fine even though I had to replace one of the batterys. We have been using them for about 6 or 8 years now give or take. We use one on the first floor in the second on the second floor, keeps us from hauling them up and down the steps, decided to get a third for the basement. Although shark has made several changes, it's only 10 V rather than 14 V of the older version and not having a headlight it still works well.My wife came up with the idea of sticking a Vyan Light Motion Sensor LED Stick-On Anywhere light to the front of the sweeper, it works very well. That's my two cents worth, giving it a four-star because of the changes shark made, but overall I highly recommend, particularly for those of us that are in our twilight years.

I like it except the battery doesn’t last long enough.

Who wanted cordless back for picking up dog hair on hardwood and rugs. This works great. Sure, it is not perfect. It Hass to charge on a charging base instead of just a simple plug-in like most cordless backs. I also wish it had a wand for corners and nooks, but it does not. However, for the price, it works better than my other cordless vac that does not hold much dog hair in the bag list container, and does not pick up as much at a time or cover as much space as this one does.

We have 2 boxers, 2800 sq ft house. Battery cleaned the house before losing charge. Dust bin only had to be dumped once. If, unlike me, you vacuum daily, this is the one for you! Drawback is there is no hose extension, but for everyday clean, it is perfect.

I had an earlier version of this that I loved, loved, loved!I got a treasure truck offer on this one and bought instantly, since it says it works on pet hair. I didn't read any reviews, didn't look at other features, because eh, I already had one and knew how awesome it is...CONSThey took out the headlight? WTL? (where's the light)? WHHHHYYYYYY!?!?!?That light is what helps me FIND the dog hair on my wood floors- before they find each other and become fur tumbleweeds. So, while I shouldn't have bought it without looking at reviews (which I did afterward), that is a major function that I shouldn't have had to consider, thus the 4-star rating.PROSTIMERun time is great, longer than my last one when it was new. To refute the complainers about time, follow instructions. If you let it completely run down several (I think it was 7) times at the beginning, then it can be left on the charger and pulled off for a small job, then put right back on. And, if you find the charge isn't lasting, try letting it run down a few times in a row, that will help.DOG HAIRDog hair... My arch nemesis. This thing does an even better job than I had hoped. I have puggle that shares anything, but mostly his hair. Even though he's brushed daily, I can seriously watch the hair fall off him as he walks. This thing did great on getting close to the walls on both tile and hard floors. It picked up hair it couldn't actually reach - but I could see using a flashlight- from under a bed. I was impressed.SUCTIONMy hubby spilled dry rice all over the kitchen floor, this gobbled it like a boss. Also, its picked up cotton ball sized fluff from dog toys and small leaves from a house plant. It also takes up my haor.To those who said hair gets stuck on the roller, use common sense. Just clean this after you use it each time, especially if you know you're in a place where human hair is more prevalent - like bedrooms and bathrooms. My hair is bright colored, so I can see it easily on the roll. just a quick grab of it each time and no problems. Also, it's totally OK if the stuff in the chamber stops spinning, just keep an eye to see when it's full.I love so much on this, I'm going to keep it, but would not recommend it, because LIGHT.

This is our 2nd Shark Navigator, this exact same model. It is a great, light weight, backup vacuum cleaner, but I am concerned about the on/off switch. The last one we had 'quit working'. First, I bought a new battery, wasted money.... When that was not the problem, I took it apart, cleaned the on/off switch after watching a youtube video on how to clean the switch. It worked briefly, then quit again. We'd had that 1st Shark vacuum for about four years. It is like they are only made to 'only last so long'. It is not like we used it every day, wearing it out. It was used very sparingly over the four years we had it. I could be wrong. Maybe we just had a bad one. So I will try another one and see how long it lasts. I will not be buying a new one every three or four years.

Great for my one bedroom apartment. But it does not hold charge for 12 minutes as stated. Fine bc my place is small but also annoying

Like the ease of moving it around. Our last one had a light to help you see that it was picking up. I miss that feature on this one.
Mom
It is very lightweight and picks up a lot. But it takes a while to charge and has no way to disconnect it and use attachments. That’s a bummer. And I know I bought a used version, but it was sent with no screw, charger plug, or charging station so I had to buy those on my own.
