Positives: lightweight, does hard floor and carpet, very easy to use, cool charging stand, good for quick uses only!Negatives: short battery life, not the best suction, not great for a decent floor cleaning especially on carpet, horrible for pre-mopping as it only gets about 90% of the dirt and hair at best, does not pick up anything anywhere close to the baseboards, the one/off button also controls the brushes and is pressed with your foot which sounded good until I used my foot to pull the vacuum out of the upright position to start vacuuming like most of us do and I turn it off every single time, dirt canister is smallOverall would not recommend or purchase again!

Update: after 2 years, this vacuum died, and this style isn't exactly designed to be repaired. I did use this vacuum 3-4x a week for most of its life, so 2 years seems okay for the price point, but as a rule, I feel like an appliance should last longer than that or be serviceable to keep it going. So I dropped it from 4 to 3 stars. After pretty disappointing experiences with lower end robot vacuums, I decided to purchase a stick vacuum instead. If I couldn't get something else to clean my floor for me reasonably well and within my price range, I wanted to at least make it easier on myself. I have an all right vacuum already, but the effort of taking it out, adjusting the handle (it folds down to save room), getting it plugged in, getting the cord length pulled out, and putting it up after use, not to mention plugging and unplugging multiple times while moving throughout the house, made me vacuum a lot less frequently than my house really needs. Based on the price point and reviews, I decided to go with this one.The Good:-It works beautifully on hard floors. I have tile and linoleum and it does great on both.-Dust cup is large enough that I only have to empty it once per use.-Battery life is great! The first time I ran it the battery life was a little short, but every time since then I've been able to vacuum my three bedroom house on one charge.-The docking station makes it super easy to charge and store.-It's super lightweight, which makes it easy to pick up and carry. Great for littles, anyone with strength issues, and those who may have to carry between floors.-It's easy to switch between bare floor and carpet mode with your foot. Don't have to stop running the vacuum to transition. The Not So Good:-The position of the power button makes it to where the vacuum gets shut off when I try to push it under the lip beneath my dishwasher. It would be nice if the button were positioned elsewhere or the head were a little thinner to fit under those tighter spaces.-The fact that it's so lightweight means it drags a bit on carpet instead of gliding smoothly.-It does OKAY on carpet, not great. If you buy this wanting to use it on a house full of carpet, you won't be happy with it. I love it for hard floor and it does fine for maintenance for my living room and office rug, but definitely need the full size vacuum for a deeper clean now and again on carpeting.-Does occasionally get clogged even if the dust cup isn't full. If you notice that it either a) has reduced suction or b) seems to be picking stuff up but nothing is appearing in the dust cup, you'll need to go through and clear the pipe. Make sure to clear the opening to the dust cup too! I've only had to do this once after a couple of months of almost daily use, so I don't consider that too bad. And that's with a dog in the house!

This a good little cordless vacation, but it doesn't hold a very good charge.

So let me start by saying it is EXTREMELY light weight . It seriously feels like a kids toy . It’s wonderful if you have only hard floors but for carpet .. absolutely not ! We have area rugs that are very low pile and this vacuum can barley pick up anything off of them . I love that it’s cordless and low profile and small to fit into tight spaces but the suction is terrible if you are used to a regular vacuum . The only reason I’m keeping it is for our motorhome .

I was happy to finally select a light weight & cordless vaccum. This Shark vaccum doesn't seem to fully charge. The blinking blue light never stops even after 24 hours on the docking station. I have not seen the blue light to only blink in half of the oval shape. It is the entire oval that keeps blinking. We assumed it is fully charged. It worked about 11 or 12 minutes before It stopped. Then we charged It again & put it off of the docking station. After few days, when we used it, it stopped working shortly after a minute. No charge! It looks like by just sitting there, it looses its charge! If that is not supposed to be the case, please let us know. I was really planning to use this for a long time. However, after less than 6 weeks & 3 x times of use, I am not happy with this vaccum. Need to know if there are others experiencing similar, or this one is a defect? I may have to return or replace to manufactury. Thanks
Suzanne
The suction on this vacuum is weak on hard floors. Works well on carpet.

I spend more time cleaning the hair and debris from the "neck" of this vacuum than actually vacuuming. The dust bin rarely gets full bc it never actually makes it to the tray. I'm not sure I can send it back now but I would definitely look at other options because this one is not pet friendly at all.

I love that it stands up on its own. Suction is great. It is maneuverable. However, as I am trying to vacuum pet hair and excess litter, a front head light would be SO MUCH appreciated. I never thought they would create a pet vacuum without one. I may still return it.

I have had various models of this particular, cordless vacuum for years, and they have been fabulous. This newest model, however, is a disappointment. It has a loud, high-pitched sound that hurts your ears when you run it that the others did not, and this one also does not have the light on the front that you can see things more clearly when you’re vacuuming in darker areas. Also, price radically dropped 2 weeks after purchase to the price I used to buy the others at.

I purchased this vacuum about 4 months ago in hopes that it would help me manage my golden retriever’s shedding problem. I liked that it was light weight & cordless. The suction seemed to work great & the battery lasted just enough for me to finish vacuuming my downstairs.About a month ago, I noticed that the brush was no longer spinning & the vacuum would just pull dirt in while leaving chunks of hair all over my floor. I followed the troubleshooting steps online & although it helped to clean the brush, it didn’t fix the problem.I finally called support last week & they video chatted with me to resolve the problem. They said it was an issue with the base & that I needed a new one, which wasn’t covered by the standard warranty. It was going to be $75, but the CSR offered a discount. Although I appreciate the rep going above & beyond to offer a discount, it baffles that they would even charge anything for a product that was only purchased a few months ago. I ended up paying & when I received the new base, I discovered that it doesn’t even come with a battery. So why is it $75??
