This is my favorite hat now!! I can sunburn fairly easily, so I always bring some kind of sun hat to my getaways. In the past, I've only bought those typical straw beach sun hats, but I always accidentally ruin them by getting them wet. So I got tired of buying a new straw hat for every beach vacation. This hat is amazing! It's water proof, comfortable, flexible for packing in a suitcase or bag, sweat resistant (I went on many long hikes in a super humid place wearing this hat), the strap helps not losing it in the wind, and it did not smell bad. It may not be as "cute" as the typical straw beach hat, but there's way more pros than cons to this hat. Buy it!! You won't regret it.

I just received my order and am beyond pleased. I got the watermelon color and love it. Fabric good quality and lightweight. Of course the biggest question/concern is how the ponytail part works?? Exactly as shown in pics. The best part is that it fits my (24”/large) head and works with my thick ponytail. The elastic band w/clip makes it adjustable regardless of your head size. Brim gives good coverage but not too overwhelming. I will prob buy more in other colors. Perfect for hiking, running, water sports.

This hat is lightweight and breathable yet gives great coverage from the sun. It packs easily into a suitcase and then pops right back into shape. There's an adjustable piece on the back to make it fit just right The hole for my ponytail is genius. Wore it all week in Mexico in and out of the pool. Adjustable chin strap kept it from flying away on a catamaran sail. Once home I noticed some sunscreen residue and minor dirt so I threw it in the washing machine and dryer and it looks brand new again. Glad I bought it in two colors.

I love this hat! I do all kinds of outdoor activities from landscaping, walking the dog, hiking the AT, volunteering at charity festivals outside, and so I'm outside in all kinds of weather. I thought this would protect me from the sun better than my go-to baseball cap that provides a ponytail escape hatch. And it does and much more comfortably. Last weekend I wore it to volunteer at a festival in the rain. It was adequate rain protection, vented the heat away, and the chin strap kept it on when the wind picked up as a storm came through. And it frames my face and keeps the hair off my neck well too.

After a bout with skin cancer last summer, I knew I had to start protecting myself more carefully while outside doing yard work. I saw a hat similar to this one in an ad on FB, but it costs more that I wanted to spend. I decided to check Amazon for a similar product and found this which looks exactly like the one on FB but at a much better price. The description of the hat is pretty accurate. It is lightweight, with about a 3 1/2 in brim all around which provides good sun protection. There is an area of mesh on the sides of the cap to help you from getting too hot, and a ponytail opening that is a necessity for those of us with long hair who like to sport both a ponytail and a hat at the same time. The hat is supposedly one size fits most women, and, unless you have an unusually large or small noggin, I think that would hold true. One aspect of the hat that I thought I’d have no use for was the drawstring, but I was definitely wrong. It has kept the hat securely on my head during some very windy lawn-mowing days! One final feature the product has is snaps that allow you to attach the brim to the cap and turn it into a sort of cowboy-looking hat… not my thing, but some make like that. However, I noticed the snaps on my hat weren’t placed quite right so that when I did snap it up out of curiosity, it was lopsided and looked rather odd. I’ve used my hat about a dozen times over the past few weeks and so far it is performing as I expected. It’s not stylish, but it serves its purpose. Hopefully it will continue to do so, and if not I’ll be sure to update.

I love this hat! I needed a hat for a beach vacation and this was perfect. I like to wear a hat in the pool or ocean to protect my face and head from burning and this worked like a charm. It could get wet but still keep its shape. Now I use it to walk the dog each morning to protect me in hot Florida. I got the all black and wish that the company would make a navy blue hat. I would buy another! I have a regular size head and it fits snug.

This hat folds up tiny tiny, then opens up perfectly shaped. I wore it during a full week of 98-100 degree heat in cities, kayaking and hiking. I would dip it in water and wear it until it dried out, then re-moisten it. I have a "normal" size head and it is a little snug, but I think that is to keep it on during wind gusts. I got many compliments on it and I'm thinking of buying at least 2 more forgifts.

For the past several years I have been on the hunt for the perfect sun hat. I had this vision of this cute, but somewhat quirky, hat that I can wear doing yard work, fishing and going to the beach. You know, the hat that is part Steel Magnolias, part Sex in the City? I have purchased more than a dozen hats in this quest and was beginning to think the hat that I wanted....no, the hat that I NEEDED, wasn't out there. Part of the problem stems from my big head. I have a larger than average head for a woman. I'm not taking a Shrek head, but definitely not petite. Some of the hats I bought in the past simply wouldn't even go on (mostly hats I purchased from Shein). Some went on, but were too tight and after wearing them for a while I felt confident I was losing blood flow to the top of my head. I did find some that fit, but they were either flimsy or quite frankly, ugly. I had settled on a man's hat I found at Walmart because it fit, covered enough to be functional and I could throw it in the washing machine. However, I ran across this hat on Amazon and thought, "What the heck? I can return it (although I'll probably forget and end up with another crappy hat in my collection) so why not?" When I say that I'm so happy I ordered this hat, please know that you can switch out "happy" with words like delighted, ecstatic, joy-filled and blissful. This hat is cute and so functional. First, it fits my head. There is a little adjustable band in the back so big-headed gals like me can have the room we need. Second, the hole for the pony-tail is big enough for a thick, curly pony-tail. Third, it covers your face and neck without being obnoxiously large. Fourth, it is completely functional and sturdy. I just got back from the beach and would spend a couple of hours a day out in the water fighting the waves with my teenagers. I would just put my back to the waves and when a giant one came and drenched everyone else, the wave completely left my face alone because the brim of the hat acted as a sturdy barrier and I had no mouth/nose full of salt water to contend with. PLUS, even though I used sunscreen everywhere, my face and neck are the only places that ended up without a burn. I'm ordering two more of these hats in case they stop making them before I wear this one out.

I was reluctant to buy these hats after reading several reviews on how they mentioned it wouldn't fit their adult head and that maybe a child could wear it. That is far from my experience with my hats. I bought 3 for myself and 1 for a friend that really liked mine. My head is 23 in in diameter soaking wet, not to mention when my hair is dry I have very thick curly, wavy hair. I have plenty of room wearing this hat for sure. I bought a couple, then bought more. All fit fine. I've been playing tennis with mine on and it's perfect. The rim extends enough to block the sun, even when serving, and yet it's not so much that it gets in the way, it's perfect! Very breathable, and I love how it's designed to allow a pony tail extend through which keeps my hair off my neck. I have no complaints. Sure there are other hats out there that cost more than several times as much but I see no need for my purposes, which is exercise, working in the yard and so forth. Is it waterproof...no, but what I've seen online even more expensive hats state they are "water resistant" not proof. If I was traveling to a rain forest...I might make a different choice. One day when mine gets really wet...I'll hang it to dry, if it falls apart, I promise to come back and update my review:) **The main point I wanted to make about these hats is I have a typical size head but more than a typical amount of hair and the fit is not a problem for me.

Really cute hat for the beach
