I have been using a Philips shaver for about ten years now and decided to go for a new one. The old one still works and after a few blade sharpenings with whetstones it was ok but a bit noisy and the battery was getting too old. It is a testament to Philips shaver’s longevity though. I got the 8 series as it has the similar heads to the 9 series but with less bells and whistles. It is much quieter than my old shaver and the quality of the shave is better and quicker. The head assembly is easy to clean and it detaches for the other attachment, the ear and nose hair trimmer, which also works great. It doesn’t offer some of the 9 series features like, pressure warning lights and shave assist advice but I really don’t see the point to that anyway. The app that you can use with the shaver is a bit of a gimmick but does have one good feature. It connects via Bluetooth to the shaver and informs you how many shaves you have left before the battery runs out. It does this by recording the times of each shave and averaging it out to determine how many more you potentially have depending on the battery power reserve. I would buy this shaver again, which is high praise in my book.

After shaving daily for many years with a razor I have found the change to electric being easy and comfortable. Quick to use ease to clean and still feel like a clean shave without the burn on your face. Will not go back to wet shave again. Thank you
