I've been given the opportunity to test the new Philips 8000 series shaver And can honestly and positively say its the best electric Shaver I've ever used the quality of the razor is brilliant and is also a very good looking razor.you can use wet or dry I been using it wet with shaving gel for a more comfortable smoother shave. But if I'm I a rush I have a dry shave which is equally as good but seems to leave a few red blotches as I have very sensitive skin But 100% excellent shaving experience. Combined with the Bluetooth and the app you can keep track of your shaving experience with tips how to use different styles on different areas also gives you hints an tip tutorials. The shaver has a pop out trimmer, very handy. But I don't use as I shave my whole head bald and is as smooth as a baby's bum with this razor . I would definitely highly recommend this razor. I've used different makes in the past but this is far superior to what I've used . It's an excellent shaver. And thanks for the opportunity to test your product.

I'm really impressed with this electric shaver. I have previously used the Philips Series 9000 from the old range but this has been even better. I really enjoy the feel of this in my hand and I can get a lot of grip in the shower which is my preferred method for using it. I notice a lot less tugging on the skin despite a very close shave. I like the the trimmer is built in to make it very accessible as opposed to an attachment which I was used to from my previous Philips shaver. One thing you'll not notice but is very clever is how quickly it adapts your skin to provide the best shave you've probably ever had in your life.

Really impressive results wet and dry. I've honestly never had an electric razor give me such a close shave, I had to go over stubborn parts with a handheld razor previously, but not with this! The razor fits well in the hand, easy to hold, and the heads manoeuvre well to reach everywhere you want. I downloaded the app which advises on shaving time and technique (something I didn't realise I needed to improve!) Travel case and brush are nice extras. All in all, highly recommended this product.

I have always used Philips shavers for over 40 years, except for a short period when I tried a foil shaver (which I didn't like). The 8000 series takes electric shaving to another level. Quick - This shaver is super quick, taking under 3 minutes for a really good dry shave. In fact if you take longer the shaver links with an app on you phone and warns you if you've taken too long. Efficient - This shaver is so smooth it almost feels like its not working as well as it could, but a quick rub on your face and you can feel how clean the shave has been. Convenient - This shaver can be used in the wet with shaving foam if you really want to get the very best shave, but if you're in a hurry, a quick 3 min dry shave gives you a good clean shave without any mess. Cleaning is simple and can be carried out regularly by just flipping the head and rinsing under a tap after each shave. This model comes with a charging base which can be used constantly or by topping up every few weeks. The app is an added bonus and gives you a guide on how to use this shaver more efficiently. It even warns you if you've not used the correct actions! I would highly recommend this model as it the very best electric shaver I have ever used.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very impressed with the Philips 8000 Series shaver (model S8692). Having owned older shavers in the past this is a major improvement in design and performance. It’s actually bigger/longer in size compared to my past models but it feels very comfortable to hold. You now charge the device by USB-A which is how most tech is charged these days (you don’t get a power adaptor/plug as in the past so as long as you have USB ports available then it’s no issue). It charges quickly (1hr charge gives around 60 min run time) and the screen on the front shows the charging levels. This model has Bluetooth connectivity so this is something new. You can download the Philips Daily Care app (from either Apple or Google) and after a few steps link the shaver to the app. The app shows you the battery level/how many shaves you have left, your usage history with time taken with your last shave. You can select guided shave to get real-time feedback as you shave. I tried this several times but even though I moved the shaver in circular motions on my face the app told me (at the end) I was using the incorrect motion together with the duration of shave being longer than the recommended 3 minutes. If you are daily shaving this is probably achievable but if your facial hair is a few days long then I don’t see how you can shave in 3 or less minutes. The shaver cuts well but I’m sure most people would use this longer than 3 minutes. The app also has a style mirror and tips for facial/body hair together with device settings. It’s nice to have the option of the app but I’m not sure it will get used a great deal. I’m unsure if the guided shave works unless it’s my own user error. I personally think I’m using the shaver correctly however. Besides the shaver you get a decent zipped case with small cleaning brush and charging stand in the box. The shaver is very quiet in operation which is good and it cuts mostly first time. The shaving heads have many holes for the hair to be cut by. This means you don’t have to go over the same area twice (I have sensitive skin so this is a real bonus). The hair is collected inside the heads and it’s easy to open and empty/clean with water. There is a pop up trimmer on the side which can cut longer hair (sideburns etc). This part is a bit noisy to use compared to the shaver but a useful addition when required. You can use the shaver wet or dry (I only ever use dry so can’t comment when wet). I cannot fault this electric shaver (apart from the accompanying app) and now look forward to using it for a good close clean shave. Well done Philips, I’m a very satisfied customer and would recommend this product.

Self cleaning unit easy to use Instructions for use of unit and self cleaning unit clear to follow Compact to use on holiday or travel I would highly recommend this product,it's light and easey to use Two concerts Edge of one the shaver heads dug into skin (possibly think of rounding of these on future models) Had grip more ergonomicly rounded for grip and comfort.
