Kept us in contact with one another in the neighbourhood. No internet, no water, no electricity but we could talk and help one another.

I live in an apartment and want to feel safe. I bought the holder that hooks onto my door and hold the doorbell inside. It is great quality video and I already feel safer. I also bought two ring cameras tat watches my dog and my deck from another angle. Great product, I absolutely recommend. Now, I am waiting for a ring car camera and alarm

Gen 1 was 6 years old so upgraded to gen 3 with easy 12 month payments using Amazon CC. HD is clear and colors crisp. Comes with angle bracket. Battery last 5 - 6 months on single charge. Charge time from 30% was 6 hours. Simple setup with voice guidance. Easy removable battery. fast charge usb plug works with it (not included). Customizable zones, alerts. Gives 6 second rollback before triggered to see all the movements. Can buy a separate no drill plate for gen 3 but won't work with angle bracket. After initial Battery charge, installed and setup in 20 minutes.

It worked really well today. I am sure my friends and family will love that I will know they are at my front door without having to walk around back to get my attention ❤️ I’m glad to finally have a door bell

We recently bought a Ring 3, and it’s AMAZING. Setup was super easy- the app walks you through every single step. We wired ours in with the old doorbell wires, which was also really easy (the app gives step by step video instructions for that, too). The picture clarity is fantastic, and it was really easy to set the sensitivity and block out areas I wanted the motion detection to ignore, like the tree next to our walk-up. The cars passing by on our street don’t trigger the motion detection alerts, and we can pull in and out of the driveway without triggering the alert. That’s the way we want it- we only want alerts when there is motion on the porch- but it can be easily set to detect motion that far out if you want it to (the default settings were that way, and it worked perfectly). When someone rings the doorbell, it very quickly shows the live feed on our phones, and it’s easy to have a two-way conversation with the person at the door. The app setup also asked me if I wanted to make our old doorbell chime- the one in the house that’s been here for 40+ years- continue to chime as it always has when the Ring doorbell button is pushed. I said I did, the app was like “ok cool, give it a try!” I pushed the Ring doorbell, the old chime chimed (and the alerts popped up and chimed on our phones), and the app said, “did it work?” I said it did, and it said, “great, you’re all set!” (Note: we can use this function because we wired our Ring with the old doorbell wires.) That’s how good the setup instructions are. In a matter of hours we had it wired and mounted and working perfectly to detect the motion we want it to detect for our specific needs. There is essentially no lag time in the feed- maybe the tiniest fraction of a second, but certainly nothing that makes the two-way live talking feature a problem. I’ve had plenty of cell phone conversations with a longer lag than this. The whole system is exactly what we hoped it would be. When I bought the Ring 3 I noticed there was a drop down menu to choose just the Ring 3, or the Ring 3 with a free Echo Show. This seemed crazy to me- I could add an Echo Show and it was the same price as just the Ring 3?- but indeed, that’s exactly what happened! The Echo Show showed up a day before the Ring, which gave me some time to figure out what it can do. It’s far more useful than I imagined it would be, and it works seamlessly with the Ring 3. The second someone rings the doorbell, the live feed appears on the screen. We’ve only had our Ring for a few days, but it’s working flawlessly. We do have a really fast WiFi connection and the router isn’t far from the front door, so maybe that’s part of why it’s working so well for us.

We installed the Ring Video Doorbell 3 plus the Ring Floodlight Camera and 2 Echo Show smart displays. Actually our local handyman installed the system and showed us how to use it. The first step is to D/L the Ring app and Alexa app on the cell phone. After set up, when someone comes to either the front or back door, there is a voice telling you someone is there. Then you say “Alexa show front door” or “Alexa show the back yard” and the video appears. You can also talk to and listen to whomever is there - as well as save a brief video recording. Once set up, the system is easy to use and we’re quite pleased with it. Ring was one of the systems recommended by Consumer Reports and we’re happy with it. Total expenditure including installation about $700.

This helped my son get his neighbor evicted. He was violent, vandalism, walking around naked around small children playing outside, and tried to get into my son's apartment!! The cops never did anything till my son was able to prove it.

My parents have a ring on their house so when we moved into our own home, I knew I wanted a ring for myself just to keep an eye on things because... well you hear things sometimes and everyone in our neighborhood has one. First of all, I immediately love the product. It was easy to install. We did not use our existing doorbell to hook it up- also because we realized it doesn't work so why bother- and instead, we screwed it into the side of the door very easily. Setting up through the app took less than 5 minutes. the ring came with two front plates, one silver and the other the 'Venetian bronze' which is a very dark chocolate brown. we chose the darker color. the ring itself is actually larger than I expected. so if you don't have a decent space on the side of your door, then you may have to install it a bit farther out. the installation kit came with everything we needed: screws for both brick and wood houses, all the nails, two front plates with different colors/ themes, and also the different mounts depending on the placement of your front door. it came with a wedge mount and a corner mount. We have three steps that lead up to our front door so I thought we would need the wedge mount but we ended up not using either mount because they didn't make much of a difference in our case but at least we have them for the future. The notifications are awesome! I get notifications for motions (cars moving) or for people walking up to our door/ on the sidewalk in front. It even captures our neighbor's movement so it's actually pretty sensitive - which you can adjust. you can change the notification types and adjust your motion sensor scope to fit your needs as well. we ended up also getting the Chime Pro to make sure the connection to our Ring was strong and also because it makes the doorbell sound whenever the doorbell rings. You can also have it ring with the motion sensor but we only wanted it to mimic the actual doorbell. All in all, it is a great way to feel safe and secure no matter where. We get real-time notifications, which is ideal for when packages arrive and you make sure they make it inside your house. The video quality is great both day and night. Right now we have the 30 day trial for the ring Safety plan which will be getting. It's a monthly subscription but it's not expensive at all and totally worth it because it saves the videos for when the sensors are activated and you can review what triggered them and then share the videos. We can also see which videos our neighbors make public which is a nice way to be aware of your immediate surroundings.
