Even with every chess piece out the board does not kay flat. The pieces are super light and fall easily. I have cheaper chess sets that I love so much more. Disappointed because I really loved the asthetic of this one.

The look of the chess board is great, the pieces a little light, but still do the job. LOVE the foldable board with the pieces strapped o the inside for safe keeping. BUT, one of the king pieces was wobbly, and not laying flat on the board. There appeared to be something sticking out of the bottom, so I manage to get a replacement. Guess what? They replaced the king with the EXACT same issue I got it replaced for in the first place. So, now I have 2 wobbly kings of the same color. Buy at your own risk people! Hopefully your not as unlucky as I was.

Received this as a gift and was immensely disappointed. Feels like this is intended to SEEM premium while actually being cheap and shoddy. If you are looking for a quality, aeshthically pleasing board then you should NOT purchase this. I have the same issues most folks have: The board itself is misaligned, not enough to keep you from playing but enough to be annoying and disappointing. The hinges keep the board from laying flat during play, and the inlaid magnets barely work to hold the thing together. The interior felt arrived in terrible condition. Little scraps and bits if glue/felt dust littered the inside. Many ugly scratches and gouges are visible, in clouding one that someone stretches all the way across behind the black pieces (how?!). The face of the board has numerous glue splotches/stains of some kind around the rim and on the squares, and the rim of the board is basically itself rimmed by glue overflow. I leave 2 stars because with all of these issues it is still technically usable just fine, but people expecting something nice they can enjoy displaying and taking care of as well as playing in will be disappointed. This should be advertised as a factory reject rather than some premium product. Putting a chunky black and gold business card in the box isn't enough of an illusion of luxury to trick me. Avoid this, unless you really want a janky chess set at this price point.

Poor quality, board isn’t properly aligned, pieces aren’t properly made

Christmas present that came damaged beyond repair. Box was fine, but the product inferior.

Sadly the edging on the board is misaligned. Other than that it's a nice board.

The board is good!! But the chess pieces are thin and does not feel solid. The pieces fall down easily.

This item is a wooden chess bored it is out of square and looks crooked on two sides when it's in its playing position Rocks back and forth because the heights of the sides are not the same I'm disappointed

Overall quality of pieces and board is great but wrong pieces were included (extra pawns and queens but no dark rooks). Need to return it.
