I had the Anker 13000 battery, but I gave it to my mom instead with the current situation of earthquakes in Puerto Rico. They are having a lot of electricity problems and when I was visiting, this battery saved our phones from dying for 2 and a half days. It still had power for another 3 charges! Now I purchased this big boy and I can definitely see the upgrade in power and size. Charged fairly fast (came with 2 dots of power) so this battery is ready for anything. Came in a nice box with instructions and the soft case with 2 cables. Since my phone is USB-C, I added a small adapter for that specific connector. I've seen people recommending this battery for the Nintendo Switch as well, so that's another reason I upgraded to this version. This gets 5/5 stars from me.

[THIS IS AN UPDATED REVIEW] See bottom section for original review posted on March 25, 2021. I run an ISO9001:2015-certified Quality Management System, and I'm impressed with Anker's response to my initial review. After I had some trouble with my batter and made mention of it, Anker reached out to me. They offered to replace my battery at no cost. Obviously, Anker cares deeply about customer satisfaction. They have sold countless items, the vast majority of them meeting all quality requirements - so the fact that they felt compelled to send me a replacement item that I didn't even ask for speaks volumes. The replacement item works exactly as intended. And, though my original item only started acting defective after a short period of time, I have little doubt that the replacement item I received will perform as intended. It's highly unlikely that they would have been so quick to send me a replacement if the second item were going to be crap and stop working. However, if there is an issue, I will return to update this review again. Anker asked for my original battery back so that they could analyze the issue to make sure that there isn't a wider systemic issue that they need to address. I don't know where the battery is (I wasn't seeking a replacement when I posted the review). Anker said that was fine and that my replacement wasn't contingent upon the return of the older, defective battery. ---------------------------- [ORIGINAL REVIEW] The device is excellent. Rather, it is excellent right up until it stops working. I ride a motorcycle every day and needed one of these for when I am out and need to be able to charge one of the several device (in addition to my phone) that I use to get around, listen to music via Bluetooth, etc. The battery worked perfectly for a couple of months but it is not longer taking a charge. When I plug it in, the blue LED just blinks and it never accepts a charge at all. I have to admit that I was pretty unhappy when it first happened and I was about 170 miles from home and tried to charge my phone so I could get directions back to my house. It isn't like I could just go to a gas station and get a vehicle power adapter - it wouldn't work on my motorcycle. I loved this device. I would use another one, but im not buying a second one.

So far I have been very happy with this battery pack. I had a prior Anker that I used for traveling. With Covid, we have not traveled for awhile so it has been stored. I recently wanted to use it while sitting in our backyard reading so I pulled it out & found it was dead & would not charge. I checked my purchase date and found it was 7 years old so I think I had gotten my money's worth out of it, so when I ordered a replacement, I still went with Anker. It has charged nicely and charges both my iPhone and my iPad quickly so I can spend a lot of time outdoors without having to worry about the batteries depleting. I plan on getting a 2nd back up just to make sure I don't run out of power and I will go with Anker again since it has been reliable.

I purchased this product after watching a product review by PCT hiker and blogger Mary Mansfield (PCT is 2600 plus miles hike that takes several moths and covers all kinds of weather conditions), and I waited for several months to write this review. This great product has performed well reliably and reproducibly. The battery gets fully charged fast, It fully charges my iPhone for at least 4-5 rounds and does so at least 4x faster compared to charging by connecting directly to a power outlet on the wall. I found that the product is compact, sturdy and not very heavy. My iPhone's battery used to drain very fast when i record videos. This product allows me to comfortably capture all the pictures and videos I ever want to during my hikes and travels without ever being pressured by a fast-draining battery to frantically attempt to preserve the last few drops of power remaining for much needed communication !

I own 3 Anker chargers. I purchased this one because it offered a dual port for high speed recharging. The unit worked fine for about a month (didn’t really notice that it recharged more quickly). After a month the unit had issues holding a charge, recharging took forever, and it didn’t charge my devices effectively. My 8 year old son likes to borrow my Anker chargers to re-charge his ipad (he is currently obsessed with Minecraft - needs to recharge while gaming). My son always grabs the Anker Quick Charge 3.0 and skips this one because “it doesn’t work”. He likes to play on the ipad while recharging and the Anker 3.0 lets him do that (this one doesn’t). Both chargers are essentially the same size and weight. Update to prior review: Anker contacted me regarding my initial review (amazing customer service) and they are sending me a replacement charger. This level of customer service is really unheard of these days. Very satisfied and would purchase again from this company!

I've had the product for 11 months. And while for most all of that time it's been great. I can take it on trips and not worry about needing to charge my phone or running out of power on my phone. It's big but that's to be expected. I mean it couldn't be little and also have that much power in it. So putting it into a pocket wouldn't be an easy task. But it's not supposed to be super portable. It's a really big power bank. And as far as that goes it's great. Charging takes awhile (but again charging your phone 6 times doesn't happen in an hour.) Really my biggest issue is the price to how long it's lasted. It worked great, but dying at 11 months seems kinda crap. I don't expect stuff to last forever, but I don't think a few years for something of this price is out of line. (I can't say I baby the item, but at the same time I keep it in a case, in my bag pack. I don't through it around or drop it. And nothing has happened in the last few days that would cause it to crap out. UPDATE After posting my review Anker sent a message to me. They asked for a few details about how the power bank stopped working, (asked me to use different chargers to charge it and different cables to charge it.) I had already tried a lot of stuff to make sure it wasn't working, and not just a faulty cable or something. I told the lady that had messaged me that. They sent out a replacement free of charge, and only asked that I could send the Serial Number of the broken one. So while having it break less than a year after I got it. (And I wasn't using it that often.) And it was a bit annoying not having it when I'm out. Anker's customer service and them standing by their product makes up for it. Hopefully the new one will last. And I feel comfortable buying more stuff from Anker just cuz the peace of mind knowing even if the product craps out, they do stand by their stuff and will make it right.

This battery is maxed out for travel so you can take it with you when traveling and not be oversized. Having worked with electonics for a while as well as with electrical engineers, I appreciate their choice to keep the battery charging separate from the recharging of your devices. Having a battery that will recharge at the same time as it is charging your devices reduces certain parts of performance, so I was glad they decided not to do both. Its great having more than one port, because I have both a tablet and a phone and occasionally a blue tooth keyboard, and I can have all these charge at once when I get low.

I bought an off brand 3 port usb charger for Christmas that I like. I LOVE this one. It's SOOOO much smaller than the other one with more charging capacity. This will still fit in your purse, back pack, carry on very easily. It's the same rugged construction as the older one I lost on an Airplane back last year. I bought this one because it was the largest capacity one Anker Sells with two Micro USB charging ports for faster recharging. I was able to NOT make any compromises' this time and I'm very happy. I look forward to years worth of use out of this. 4/5/2018--Still going strong with this PowerCore! With the last bought of storms that have passed through my area, this helped me keep my peace of mind that at least I can keep my families phones and tablets powered for a day or two if the power would have went out. I also keep this at work with me everyday. This will travel with me on my trip to Disney later this year. Being able to keep something that will recharge multiple cell phones several times is going to be a game changer...add in my Solar USB charging pad and I know I will not be stranded without power period.

I was skeptical. My Samsung devices are persnickety about what they will accept power from. I'm going to be in a National Park camping for two weeks, and I was really worried about keeping my phone and tablet charged. This big ole Anker device has made an A+ on the test run. It charged in about 5 hours from my home plug in, using an Anker two-USB port plug (purchased separately). Then it charged my Samsung S6 3 nights in a row from less than 10%. And then it charged my Samsung 10.1 Tablet 3 times from below 10%. Then, after those 6 charges, it needed to be charged back up. Very happy. I was thinking about a solar charger, but I worried if I left my campsite while it was charging up, I'd come back and it would be gone. I also got a 13000 Anker unit, so I'll have a total of 9 full charges before I'm in trouble. Be aware that it is about the size of one of those giant Hershey bars and weights 2 or 3 pounds, so it isn't a purse or pocket charger.
