Enough Power to Share

I took this with me on a 6-week adventure across Asia. I had my iPad Pro, iPhone 6+, and a Kindle with me, but I never once found myself without power. I think I charged this up once on the whole trip when I saw it got to 50%, but this kept me watching movies on my iPad on a 22+ hour train ride through China while sharing it with my travel mate as well. This is more than enough power to carry you through to your next outlet. I'd be confident that it holds 10 charges for a large-screen cell phone. As far as weight, it isn't exactly something you'd normally carry in your pocket, but that's not to say I haven't done it. It's best suited to being in a satchel/purse/backpack and available for a power-up whenever you find yourself low on power and in need of GPS guidance on the other side of the globe. This isn't your "I'm going out for the evening and need something for the last 10% to get my Über home", this is more of the "I'm spending a week in the woods and need to keep a charge" pack.

Great quality, works as advertized, useful for charging when away from home.

Update: I am using the "PowerCore 26800 Portable Charger" more frequently. It's nice to have a way to charge when away from home. Not always convieniet to find an outlet and this charger stays with me while charging. I've never used more than a third of the charge contined in this battery. One of my better purchases. Another great Anker purchase. I've had consistent quality from Anker. I don't use it very often, but when I have needed it, especially during power outages, it has saved me. Holds it's charge for months on end. As to those who say it takes too long to charge, please note, that the typical charger is 2A (2,000ma). 26800/2000=13.4 hours for a full charge from completely discharged! That's physics! Likely fire or explosion if it charged at double or more than 2A. However, there are two charger inputs so you can safely cut charge time in half, still much longer than most people are used to. Big battery=long charge time. Good trade-off.

Very useful on the road for the nomadic explorer...

The charge circuit died on my old one after only 6 years but in those years provided very reliable service. I'm confident that the batteries were still functioning but I was unable to recharge due to the malfunctioning charge circuit. In 2015 I took it on a 3 week tour of southern Peru. All of our in country transportation from Lima to Nazca to Cusco to Puno to Arequipa and back to Lima was on large luxurious buses, accumulating 48+ hours of bus travel. I was charging my phone, tablet and handheld Garmin GPS and during the entire trip only recharged the Anker PowerCore twice. Similar performance on a week long fishing trip in Alaska in 2017. For me the Anker devices are a worthwhile investment, worth every dime, particularly when you have several days, even a week without access to power.

Paid $40 for it

If you need this size, then you need this size. As to be expected, it's heavy. My two boys hook up their Nintendo Switches and it keeps them going for a long time. It does take time to re-charge it, but hopefully that's far and in between, and after-all, should be expected. As with all the Anker products i own, 5 *. They work and are reliable. With all the electronics that need usb charging these days, buy yourself a multi-socket that can fit a few, and charge this unit with both inputs.

Awesome voltage regulation!

This thing's got some rock steady output voltage. I'm using it to power a Raspberry Pi 4 with an active IR stereoscopic camera, 4" LCD, and a cooling fan. I roughly budgeted to use about 3A top so hence why I chose this power bank. When I try this setup with a 60W desktop charger with QC 3.0, it gave me undervoltage warnings constantly. With this power bank I'm reviewing right now, not a single dip, no undervoltage warnings, no CPU throttling. I'm absolutely blown away that this power bank is outperforming a desktop charger. (I'm using 16 AWG wiring if you were wondering) I am very happy with my decision to purchase this as the power supply to my project.

Lasted a 10 backcountry trip and then some

I bought this specifically to charge up my GoPro batteries, iPhone and Apple Watch on a 10 day river trip. I have 4 batteries and charged all of them 7 times, so in total I got 28 charges of GoPro batteries, 3 Apple Watch series 3 charges from about 20% and 2 iPhone X charges from about 40%. At the end of the trip there was still one of the 4 lights on indicating there was 25% or less of battery life left. The 3 USB ports was a big key selling point for me knowing I want to charge my watch, iPhone and GoPro batteries all at the same time. That being said, this is a heavy battery bank and takes up space but we were in canoes and rafts so weight and space was not a concern. If I were backpacking I would get one of the smaller and lighter ones by Anker. It is everything I was looking for in a portable battery bank and then some. I should also add that it does take forever to charge. I can't be certain of the exact time but I would guess it takes about 8-10 hours to charge up just plugging it into the wall. They provide 2 charging chords and there are 2 imput charging ports. I just plug it in before I go to bed and the next morning its all charged up. It also comes with a sleeve to hold the battery bank which is pretty awesome because I keep the charging chords in that case along with the charging chords for my watch and phone. I highly recommend this product. You can't go wrong with Anker.

Best Power Bank I’ve ever used!

An absolute gem of a product. I am an airline pilot and flight instructor. I have come to depend on the effective performance and reliability of my two PowerCore 26800’s. Yes, I purchased two of them because, as a pilot and teacher, I am an iPad Pro power-user. I take extensive notes with my Apple Pencil, which draws much on the iPad battery, and I use the iPad extensively for navigation. 1 PowerCore 26800 will charge up and keep charged a Stratus 2S ADSB/GPS device, an iPad Pro, and iPhone X charged for at least 8 hours during continuous HEAVY use. I then swap out to my 2nd PowerCore 26800 to routinely get through 16 hour days of classroom teaching and flying. I can not believe the grueling use these power banks endure. I’ve since swapped out all chargers and cords to Anker-branded products because of their robustness. This was a change for me from multiple, frequent replacements generic-branded chargers, cords, and power banks. I now have had my PowerCore 26800’s for over a year and the performance has been truly impressive. When I joined the airlines, they handed us Anker PowerCore 20100’s as standard issue and required equipment to go along with our iPads used for navigation and reference to company manuals. That’s how well-respected Anker is. Get no other power bank than the Anker PowerCore 26800 and you’ll be supremely satisfied. (Side note: the pouch it comes in is great because it acts as a buffer between the minimal heat generated by the power bank and whatever would otherwise be touching it. The pouch is of excellent quality. I never take it out of it, whether I’m charging the power bank or using it to charge other devices. Will be looking to upgrade to the newest version of this power bank (PowerCore+ 26800) in the future.

#1 customer service and #1 energy products

*Please see recent edit* I've always been a big fan of Anker. This is my 3rd powerbank and I own countless cords. Sadly I feel quality is on a decline. With my negative experience with their cords, and now this powerbank which I feel either doesn't hold a charge well enough or it loses it too quick. I am not smart enough to know the exact issue but I have to charge this bank daily when it's barely charging a few phone's not even to full. I read the manual and feel like I did the right thing. *Edit* Shortly after I posted this review I was messaged by a representative from Anker. After some back and for questions they diagnosed my unit as faulty and immediately dispatched a new one at no cost and no touble to me as they didn't ask for the old unit back. I am very pleased to say this unit seems to be working just as I had expected with multiple charges for myself and my wife's phones and tablets over the course of 3 days. Because of Ankers #1 customer service policies I was attended to personally and carefully to ensure my complete satisfaction.
