I bought this Anker PowerCore 26800 powerbank prior to Hurricane Irma’s arrival to power our cell phones and tablets. When the charger I bought overheated (crackling & shooting sparks!), I thought this thing was a goner, but happily it survived and finished charging on an older slower charger. That being said, I can’t tell you how long it takes to bring it up from the three bars it arrived with, to the full four. I can tell you it’s too long and heavy to carry in pants pockets, unless you’ve deep pockets and a secure belt. If you’re on the road with it, expect to charge your devices in your backpack, attaché case, or substantial handbag. Since we lost power for so few minutes during then TS Irma, I never got to put this powerbank to the test. However, after sitting untouched for over a month it still showed 4 bars and continued to do so after charging 2 cell phones that were at 23 and 27% and as of this writing it still shows 4 bars from its initial charge on Sept 7. I hope my 5 star rating isn’t misleading as I’ve not put this to a full test, but I don’t want to take a star off when it’s done its job as used and is holding its charge well.

I live in the Midwest which is prone to have storms that result in power losses for many days. If I needed to evacuate my home I can take my portable charger in my “GO” bag. One full charge lasts for months. ( if you aren’t using it. ) it’s important to regularly check it so that it’s always fully charged. It would be good for camping or backpackers, etc. Don’t ask me technical questions because I won’t know tha answers. Mine is adequate for an old lady who wants safety and security. There are bigger models for Stormchasers or Law Enforcement Professionals or those who assist in Disaster Relief work.

Perfect product for all the traveling I do. I needed a charger that would be able to keep all 3 of my devices charged while I'm traveling and this worked perfectly. The size and weight are a bit hefty but I keep it in my backpack so it's not a big deal. I have on occasion carried it around in my purse and it adds a couple pounds but still not a problem especially when someone needs a charge I can easily assist. The company is wonderful as well! The charger comes with a little pouch to hold it in and I keep the charging cables in there so I never lose them. During one trip I managed somehow to misplace the bag. I contacted Anker and asked if they had any spare bags or if I could purchase one separately and they sent me one at no charge! I have purchased several of Anker's power products and have been pleased with every one of them. I will continue to use their products due to their quality and customer service.

This is one of the best portable chargers I'ver ever had (and I've had them all). It has the ability to charge multiple devices to full capacity, in not time, over and over again. The only setback with this charger is that it takes a lot to recharge it. While traveling, I like to charge my devices overnight, and let my portable charger recharge during the day. However this doesn't charge as fast without using two mini-usb cords at the same time, which isn't always available. Overall, this is a great device and if you can fully recharge it daily, I wouldn't even consider another option. Pairing this with a smaller one for quick charges and you'd have a portable system that can't be rivaled!

This battery is built well and charges devices well, but simultaneous charging wouldn't work for me. A huge bummer when my friends and I went on a camping trip and wanted to charge multiple of our phones at the same time. The dual charging input seems to work well, so this product has been a mixed bag for me. Edit:: (Updated from 3 to 5 stars) I was reached out to by Anker shortly after writing this review, with some troubleshooting tips, and the simultaneous charging started working as it should! Kudos to Anker for a great customer service team, I'll definitely come to them for future battery purchases.

Always bought Anker products, earphones, power banks. This is an excellent item, especially if you're a backpack traveler like me. I've been pushing this thing to its limit to run it dry, but man, I've gotta say I'm impressed. I charge my drone, 2 phones with this bad boy, plus enough juice for my fiancée's phone. Hasn't let me down, and definitely won't. I previously owned another anker power bank which i had for a solid 6 years. The batteries started to show signs of wearing finally and that is why i chose anker. Simply the best products at the best price. Also, i bought this on 40% off on a lightning deal! Total 5 stars!

As anyone who plays Pokemon Go will tell you, it's basically one of the best and worst apps for your phone ever. While it is incredibly fun to hatch eggs/fight raids/battle gyms in your city or town, Pokemon Go HAS to be open to get credit for anything or get notifications about what pokemon are around you. This is a serious battery killer. On bright days when I have to turn my screen brightness up, this app will literally kill my battery faster than I can charge it. It is absolutely infuriating and you are either confined to your car to charge your phone, or confined to the one outside outlet within a 10 block radius. Enter ANKER POWERCORE PORTABLE CHARGER. I bought this portable battery on the recommendation of another Pokemon Go player. I've only had the charger since Tuesday, but let me tell you - it's basically changed my life. While it is a little bit large for a portable charger, nothing will beat this beast. Plus, I'm pretty sure it's big enough that you could use it as a self-defense weapon if it came down to it. I've definitely already thought about bricking someone in the face with it at least once... Yesterday, I went for a walk to catch pokemon with 15% battery and plugged this pucker in. As someone who is used to seeing my battery drain WHILE CHARGING due to Pokemon Go's glaring app design flaws, you can imagine my overwhelming joy when I realized - not only was I not losing battery life, it was actually charging my phone faster than the factory charger that came with my phone. Ecstatic, I popped my boyfriend's phone on the charger and watched as our phones continued to charge beautifully at nearly full screen brightness. I honestly thought that was impossible. We finished up an hour walk with close to 50% more battery than we had started with and the portable charger still has enough juice for plenty more charges. My days of frustration over my phone's battery life are gone. I have finally found peace. Thank you, Anker.

This thing is awesome. It has dual micro usb charging inputs for faster charging, which is a necessity for this much capacity. I can’t say enough about Anker stuff. Everything i’ve bought from them is awesome: the lightning charger cords are near indestructable and all of the battery chargers are top notch. Material quality is excellent and they just work. I don’t have to worry about them catching on fire (check out some reviews for other brands). You’ll pay a little more for these (still a great value) but it’s worth it! The capacity is also crazy. You can charge all of the phones with this bad boy! Get it!

This was a gift for my husband because I already had a lighter weight version that I love. It was also a great gift for our son-in-law. It is perfect for travel especially international travel. It is easy enough to keep it charged, it can charge more than one device at a time and the charge lasts for several days. When traveling, we often do not find enough outlets or we do not have the right adaptor. This solves that problem. Sometimes I take it hiking if I want to use the phone GPS or other maps.

I bought this to power my GoPro. I had read where plugging in a portable charger to a GoPro will extend the GoPro's video capabilities. Not so. The GoPro video recording lasts about an hour. This morning, I plugged the GoPro into this charger. No difference. The GoPro died at around an hour. So my experiment failed and now I have a portable charge that I really don't need. Oh well. I did not reduce the number of stars because it does what it is supposed to do. I just got bad information.
