I never had an issue using BinaxNow tests. The procedure cannot get any simpler, the quality of the test materials is very good, and the results are easy to read. My only issue is with the cost. Depending on how much you pay for these, similar tests using the same testing method are readily available for 1/3 to 1/5 the cost in Europe. But here in the U.S., this is what there is. For those people concerned about the box seals being broken: While meant to be an anti-tamper seal, they don't seal very well and will pop off with any pressure on the box where the seal is located. If you are concerned about the contents, you should see a set of instructions, two sealed vials, two sealed swabs, and two sealed white pouches with the test kits inside. If your package arrives with a box seal or two detached, check these items. If it is complete, IMHO, the test is perfectly fine.

This self test kit has two tests in it so you can use it more than once to get more accurate results. Alternatively, you can use it to test you and your partner before going out to public events. In September, my son was going to use it for proving to his college that he was negative for COVID. Unfortunately, the NAVICA software requires that both of the two tests be used before issuing the results of the two tests. Using both tests, requires a 3 day separation between tests. We did not have time to wait for the second test but could have planned for it if we had known ahead of time. It is a more accurate result with two tests. However, if you don't have time to wait, you cannot use the NAVICA app with this two test kit. I suspect the other Abbott home test kit only has one test in it that is used with the NAVICA app, but costs the same. Regardless, this is a good test kit to test for COVID-19. We purchased three. I would give it 5 stars, but the software limitation with the kit was not disclosed that it required both tests and a 3 day period.

Easy to do it.

I've used dozens of these since they've become available. They've always produced a negative result, and so far that's proved to be true as none of us have ended up having Covid. I've introduced these at small gatherings, and it's really helped give everyone the peace of mind that no one is spreading Covid. Of course I've been fortunate enough to get everyone to take one. Some claim these rapid tests are useless since they are not as sensitive as the PCR tests, which can detect tiny amounts of virus in someone. The important thing is that these rapid tests DO show a positive result when someone has enough viral load to be infectious. And when you're having a get together, isn't that the most important thing? The goal isn't to diagnose who has Covid, but to make sure there's no one at the event who can potentially spread it. So far, so good. I would have given a 5-star review but $20 for two tests is way too much. If these were only $10 a box (i.e. $5 per test) I would have given them a 5-star review.

I ordered three tests to have on hand, and have not yet used one. They all arrived with unbroken seals, unlike the experience somebody else reported here. I received them at the end of July and they expire on December 4, so for us there is only a four-month usability window. Still, I just ordered more because I want to have them on hand--just in case.

I would love to give this product 5 stars but I am happy that I have not used it yet! When I have read the comments it is clear that there is confusion about what this is testing for. Use it to see if you HAVE active COVID in your system. Antigens are measured. Covid has Antigens which identify it. Do not get confused. ANTIBODIES show that you have HAD the disease OR that you have been vaccinated against the disease. Use this if you want to know if you currently HAVE the Active Virus. You may or may not have symptoms. That is what makes this virus so insidious.

The instructions are a little complicated but the speed is great. The price is truly outrageous though considering you can get the same tests in other countries for $2.

The test is easy to use. I’ve used them before. Just follow the directions. YouTube even has a video. But the box has two seals. One on each end. On one side the seal had been opened and stuck to the flap. On the other the seal was removed and no longer sticking to the box. Everything was still in the package so I will use it. But it was concerning that it had been opened by someone before I received it.
