Easy to install

This is the third of these thin window fans I've bought. The first lasted two years (constant use, 24/7/365) and I got it replaced under warranty. When that one blew (or didn't actually) after another 2 years, I bought this one. I figured I use it more than anyone would as it functions as an exhaust fan for a dog relief area that, while cleaned regularly and grass replaced, still sends out a pungent odor if not exhausted. It literally never turns off. I expect if used as needed for temp control, rather than constantly, this fan would likely last many more years than mine have.

Great solution for us

I bought this for my office space which is a large loft space (approx. 1500 sq ft) in an old building with out of control steam heat. They can install a remote shut off, but not until spring because they have to turn off the boiler for the whole building - so we have been suffering in 85 degree heat, throwing open all four huge windows every morning. I got one of these thinking that if it was good, I'd install more in some of the other windows. It's working so well I haven't needed to order another one. I sit across the room about 20 feet away and can feel the breeze coming off these little fans. It's small and light but powerful. Very happy. Our windows are very old and non-standard so it doesn't fit perfectly as you can see in the photo, but snug enough - won't budge.

Best alternative to a window ac

A window air conditioning unit is not an option for us so this was the next best thing we could do. We live in Southern California By the coast where temps are now averaging in the high 80s. This has saved us from many sleepless nights. This little fan has some series cooling power. We use it for a 350 sq ft room when it’s about 82 in the room and in about an hour or two it’ll get it to within 3 degrees of the outside temp (70-71). Things to keep in mind: If the air quality Is terrible outside all you’re doing is bringing it in and if there’s humidity this won’t help.

Perfect fan

Perfect! Exactly what I needed, I have windows that are small and don’t open up as big as a traditional window fan is, took a shot with this and it’s perfect. I just wanted to let the cold summer night air in and it works perfectly, not loud at All, quieter then a floor fan by Honeywell, each fan is a different setting like low is one and high is all 3, I would buy it again. The color blue on the fan blades is also super cute. The box is deceptively large when it comes in the mail lol

Mono-directional Fan For Sliding Window Use

Our application was for primarily air intake in a bedroom with sideways sliding window. Oriented vertically and using an 8 inch extension cut from cardboard stock, the unit works well. The unit was thin enough to keep the window screen in place and you can choose running 1, 2, or all 3 fans for airflow control. The noise level was modest and not an issue for sleeping. This was a manual control (no remote control) unit and the controls are located on the unit so if they are accessible from inside the room, the unit draws air in from the outside. There is a statement that you can flip the unit around and use it as an exhaust fan, but then the controls will be on outside direction and cannot be easily accessed.

meets all my expectations and then some!

very good in all respects. only draws .7 amps and with the three nine blade turbo-style fans it blows or sucks a considerable amount of air for what it is. i am mounting it (and the additional three that i will now buy) in front of inside screens on jallosy (sp?) windows hence i will be building special frames for them hence i am not concerned with their width or how wide they expand for normal casement windows...but i'm sure they will fit most windows...just check the specs. i will use two to blow at one end of the house and two to suck at the other end...and with the mounting system that i build i will be able to turn them around to the other direction if i want to change the air flow direction in the house. based on my tests with just the one i have the system i propose should produce a very noticeable, but not windy, steady breeze. the area that i tested it in is in the southwest florida during 90 degree heat. i believe that with four of these units i can eliminate ac on most days...i don't like ac! in addition the unit is very, very quiet.

Feels like a quality item and I have had this Brand never let me down.

3rd Window fan from this manufacturer...1st one ran non-stop for over 3 years exhausting smoke (Yes I smoke) and suddenly started slowing down so I got a 2nd identical one and up until yesterday was running like a champ, again non-stop, 24/7. A friend just moved into my building and I decided to gift it to him. It did need to be cleaned as I normally do about every 3-4 months and figured I needed more ooph, so I got the 3 blade version and it does blow outward noticeably harder and is quiet as a mouse.. Feels like good quality and from past experience seems to be exactly what I wanted. If it runs as long as the other 2, I will be more than satisfied..

Great low-profile fan!

My housemate and I both got these because our A/c units were pulling too much power during the Fall months. Low profile is nice as it's not overly bulky to store. The low, medium, and high settings are determined by the number of fans spinning (1 fan, 2 fan, 3 fans, respectfully) . The temperature control does work but I do not use it all that much (I'm simple like that). The fans push a lot of air each and do not produce a lot of noise. The only two things I feel are a bit odd are that: 1. To reverse the airflow, you need to take it out and flip it around. There are two controller panels on either side (one faces out while the other faces in) which is a bit unusual for me. 2. The temp settings are like this: Low, medium, high, low @ 75F, low @ 70F..., medium @ 75 F... etc. To get back to the first three settings (low, medium, high, all without temperature settings) you need to cycle through all 6 or so temperature settings for each fan speed, so it's a bit like annoying if you accidently go past what you wanted you have to go all the way through the settings to get back to where you wanted to be. That said, not terrible just a bit of nuance. Overall, I would recommend this fan to anyone. Has already saved us it's price tag in power consumption.

Wonderful fan, Controls are a bit...awkward.

In terms of function this fan is great. Good airflow, not too loud. However if you simply want the fan to be on and not turn off and on because of direct sunlight messing with the temperature setting and stuff be prepared to push the button 17 times to cycle though the settings before you get to plain old On. Not a big deal Just a minor annoyance. Has buttons on both sides for those of you who want an exaust fan rather than intake. Could have done without the bright led facing outside though.

Excellent quality but make sure the features are correct for you

Seems like a quality product. I bought a second one soon after receiving the first. It has impressive airflow, and the slim design is attractive. The controls are simple and well-designed, though as others have noted it has one-directional airflow, so if you intend to switch back and forth from inflow and outflow, this is not your best choice. If you want inflow or outflow only, I highly recommend this unit. A further note: pay attention to the dimensions of your window and the unit length, as it locks into place solely using extensions along it’s length.
