If you are big and strong, you will love this vacuum! Me, I am a lightweight! My son loves it. Does a great job.

Love the functionality. The way it is quite stable in a small storage place is nice. It comes with a few attachments. It should have a few more but states clearly what comes with... sadly Shark has the additional attachments for sale for an additional cost. A few more with the vacuum would make it more functional. With pets this works very well much better than the vacuum it replaced granted it was almost 15 years old. This will not slide easily under some furnishings like a low sofa for instance. There is a long arm that you can use to get under the sofa in that instance although a bit of crawling and reaching is necessary. Overall I love this vacuum, it is lightweight and versatile. Desired a few more attachments to get the job done hence the 4 star instead of the 5. Does not reflect on the seller rather the manufacturer.

I purchased this to replace my Shark Truepet. I love the non tangle roller! This is absolutely a huge point with 2 Goldens. I also love the longer wand as I can now get to the top stair without repositioning the vacuum. But there are 2 things I miss. The big one is there is no light and I wish I had noticed this before purchasing. I told myself with my Dyson never again purchase a vacuum without a light. The second is just a bit annoying-the cord is too short. Where before I only had to move the plug 3 times to do my whole house, now it’s 5 or 6. Definitely doable but another foot or two of cord would make thing easier.

This vacuum has great suction it works really well. So a few things I noticed that I don’t love are when using it on the “hard floor” mode it will only pick up debris when you pass over it going forward not on the reverse pass which I thought was weird. And also DO NOT believe the “extend reach” Jose picture or advertisement for this vacuum. It’s advertises a really long Jose and a woman leaving her vacuum at the base of a staircase while she walks up and using the hose. I was excited for this feature but the second you walk two inches away from this vacuum while using the hose, the vacuum crashes to the ground and I swear the day mine breaks because of this...... the hose is stretchy yes but you can’t let go of the vacuum while using it lol. So that was a bummer. I would even say it falls over so easily it might be worse than a standard cheap vacuum in that aspect. But it’s still a great vacuum. I love it.

This vac works great! It has the best suction of any vacuum I've ever owned. The suction is so good that I have to be careful around curtains and loose clothing items. Even if something gets accidentally sucked up, you just stop the machine, pop the hose off at the body and pull the item out of the hose. This vacuum is lightweight, so easy to maneuver on my wood floors. I bought this model because I have very long hair (past my waist). This model advertises a special no clog brush mechanism, and it does work great without hair tangling around the brush, something that was a problem with EVERY other upright vac I've previously owned. The onboard tools make it easy to switch from floors to other surfaces. The only things that annoy me about this vacuum is that it does tip over when you're vacuuming with the hose, and as a 5'4" female, the handle is too high to be comfortable. Probably great for very tall people. I'm very satisfied with this vacuum.

Excellent deep cleaning and very large dirt container. Only downside is that it's a little hard to maneuver. Watch out for your back if you have issues.

Just got my vacuum today and gave it a try. Overall it works very well on both hardwood and low profile carpet. I purchased this vacuum specifically for my pets, I have a golden retriever and two cats so there’s a lot of hair. My only disappointment is the roller, it was advertised fast having some feature that would prevent hair from wrapping around itself but after 1 session it was completely wrapped in hair. I was expecting as much so I’m only subtracting 1 star. . Good suction . Hard wood and carpet settings . Long hose (yes the base will tip if you try to stretch it - but duh) It’s day 1… if this holds the same performance for at least 1 year I’ll be happy.

I have owned Shark Vacuums for many years (15+ yrs) I have 3 homes and have a shark for each one of them. This vacuum works great however the short length of the power cord is ridiculous. None of my homes are large and with the previous Shark Vacuums I only had to plug in to one central outlet. With this vacuum the shortness of the cord causes me to plug into 3 different outlets. When cleaning the stairs I have to do the bottom half plugged into an outlet on the main level then halfway through I have to plug into an outlet upstairs. I don't understand why they shortened the cord but if you own a large house you're going to need an extension cord or be moving the power cord to many multiple outlets. Like I said I own three small houses that never required my previous Shark Vacuums to be plugged into multiple outlets but this one is annoying.

My last vacuum cleaner lasted about a year and a half, less if you count the fact that it lost suction power within a year, even though I cleaned it every time I used it. I have several large dogs, I'm talking over 150 lbs., and the dog hair is crazy! When I was researching vacuums, I came across this one that purported to be able to handle the hair without issue to the roller. It was on sale, so I was willing to take a chance. What I love about this vacuum is: 1. The hair really doesn't stick to the roller! 2. The control to adjust suction is easily reachable without bending down. 3. The control to go between carpet and bare floor is easily reachable without bending down. 4. Using the wand in tight or high spaces is super easy, and you don't have to take a bunch of stuff apart - just click and go! And the wand is actually long enough that I don't have to bend down! Yes, I have a lower back injury that plagues me in all sorts of ways, so bending is difficult. 5. The vacuum is extremely maneuverable for being as big as it is. 6. The cup actually holds enough that I didn't have to empty it until I was done! Wow! First time ever that I had a vacuum with a cup capacity large enough for that! What I don't like about this vacuum is: 1. It's super heavy, but the good outweighs (LOL) the bad. 2. It comes with three attachments, and one is very cleverly put together as two in one, but there is only room on the vacuum to store two of the attachments, so I will have to store the third one and hope I don't lose it. All in all, I am super happy about this purchase! I will try to remember to update my review in a year to let people know how it's going.

This was an all-around pleasant experience to receive and use the vacuum. Quick background: I live in a 2-story house with two areas ... wall-to-wall carpets upstairs (4 bdrms) and hard floor/area rugs downstairs. The Shark Navigator is just for the carpeting upstairs and what a huge difference it made compared to the Hoover Wind-Tunnel I've been using - like night and day. I use a Dyson Thin downstairs so I am familiar with its qualities. FYI, assembly only takes a few minutes - just snaps together. Pros: * Suction - awesome power. Vacuuming my 1400 sq ft of carpet filled the dust cup halfway, then I re-checked and the suction power was still the same high strength. * Beater - great design. You have full visibility thru the clear plex, but after two full uses, no hair or threads appeared on it (which was common with the Hoover). * Wand - convenient pistol grip makes it easy to grab and spot clean corners or other areas. When you want to deep clean around all baseboards, the extension makes its more convenient. Did't try all the tools. * Handling - pushes easily across the carpet both ways even with full suction on (not sure why people think this is heavy or hard to push ... its a breeze compared to my old vacuum and similar to the Dyson). Cons (with mitigation): * Cord - it comes with 25 feet. My old vacuum was 30 feet, but I still needed to change plugs. So, I bought a simple 15-ft extension cord I keep with it ... makes it 40 feet total, which reaches everywhere. * Under furniture - due to the canister body, it has limited range (6") to go under furniture (so does my Dyson)... however, I consider that deep cleaning, so when I occasionally do that, I will use the wand extension. Bottom line - after two uses, this has been a great improvement over my previous vacuum and at around $200, its worth it with the assumption that it will last 5-10 years.
