Buy a Shark ZU560 instead! Shark customer service deserves 5 stars. This Shark Navigator Zero-M Pet Pro ZU62 vacuum is still a 1 star. I reserve the right to change my opinion when I receive the replacement. * I received a replacement from Shark and donated it after using it 5 times. It really is the worst vacuum I've ever owned (twice). The review below covers the original and the replacement. There was no difference. (Except the cord holder on the new replacement was defective as well, it would not stay upright, it would just just flop over.) I am a loyal Shark customer, and will remain so. Just NOT THIS VACUUM. My original review : No suction - Not light weight - Like pushing a cinder block Per Shark's description: "Light Weight & Maneuverable" 1. It is definitely not light weight, unless your name is HULK. 2. It is like pushing a 'cinder block on a stick' across carpet. Shark's are great - just NOT THIS ONE I originally bought this Shark Navigator Zero-M Pet Pro ZU62 for the larger capacity to use downstairs, but when I used it, it was so difficult to push/turn I decided to swap it upstairs for my smaller "fantastic" Shark Navigator Lift-Away Speed Zero-M Upright Vacuum, ZU560 (which I love). I use the ZU560 every other day downstairs and it is the best vac I've ever used if you are looking for a great Shark vacuum. I love Shark vacuums (EXCEPT for this Shark Navigator Zero-M Pet Pro ZU62), this was my 4th Shark. Relegated to upstairs because it doesn't function like my other Shark. After 6 uses in 2 bedrooms and a hall it will not pick up the smallest pieces of sock lint. The filter is new, I replaced it just to be sure, checked the hose, empty it after use, checked seals, etc. The beater bar is operational, no motor issues. It seemed to work (PAST TENSE) "ok" the first 3 times I used it, not great like my other Sharks, but ok. After the 3rd use it stopped picking up the smallest lightest bits no matter how many passes were made over it, forget about anything more difficult. We are 2 very clean adults with no pets, or kids at home. I have been referred to as immaculate so this vacuum isn't doing any heavy duty cleaning, a 2nd floor vacuum. Purchased in October, used twice, then I had 2 surgeries. This Shark ZU62 was used a total of 6 times in 6 months 2x in Oct/Nov, then not again until March, four more times. It has lost all suction, new filters didn't help. I could have lived with it being awkward, heavy, and hard to turn if it vacuumed like my other Shark Vacuums. --The Wife

So I know this particular pet vacuum is great. My mom has one that she let me borrow for a bit and it worked so well so I was super excited to get my own for our house. I received my package today and it was already back at the UPS store within hours to be returned. This seller is claiming to be providing new vacuums and charging new prices and then sending out vacuums which are clearly used. Do not purchase from seller A2Z Encompass. As soon as I lifted the box to bring it in the house I knew it wasnt going to be right. I could hear parts clanging around and knew that it wasn't appropriately packaged. I opened the box and the vacuum and all the parts were just sitting in there, loose. This obviously used vacuum: - had absolutely zero mfg packaging - was the wrong color per the advertised item - had scuff marks all over the brand logo and handle - couldn't stand upright properly - had loose wobbly wheels - had broken peices in the box and broken areas on the vacuum itself - had scuff marks and hair on the inside of the canister compartment - had a floral smell in the canister like it had been sprayed with a deodorizer Save yourself the trouble and look for a different seller for this vacuum. Hoping i get an actual new-in-box on my next go round.

We had a Kirby that I just hated! It was heavy, always smelled like burning rubber, and kicked back debris constantly. I got rid of it and bought this. I just used it and after already running my iRobot minutes before, it pulled out nearly a tank full of pet stuff from the living room alone. I love the different floor options and suction control (that brush roll has some power!).. I’m really looking forward to the roller not getting wrapped up! I’ve always been a fan of shark but the Kirby chick yanked my heart strings and I made a bad choice. Never again. Now the kids have no excuses since it’s lightweight! It even did along the baseboards without a fuss!! Very pleased (so far-it’s literally minutes old) bonus- I can clean rugs I’ve havent been able to in a year bc the Kirby would eat them! This is magic! Update- I used the hardwood setting and vacuumed up cat litter in our bathroom without any kickback! Update update- i still love it a week later! Probably more now. If I could marry it and it could financially support me, I would! Update update update: it’s now 3 was later and we are still very happy together. I took this to work and it did fantastic. People were seriously amazed that this wasn’t something super expensive or commercial oriented. The roller bar underneath did fantastic. No tangles and it was easy to remove things I accidentally ran over that I shouldn’t have. Oops! We had a carpet of used staples removed and I forgot about it as I sucked every one up without any fear of getting pegged in the legs. This seriously beats any vacuum I have ever owned, Kirby and dyson included. Update- 3 months later abs the roll brush stopped working. I contacted shark and they sent me a new one after sending back my old. So keep your box bc it’s super hard to find a vacuum shaped box to return it in! Update-down to one star. 2 years later and it’s awful. It’s kicking everything back out and just now, it stopped sucking altogether. When I stand it up to use the hose, it’s like it’s not even powered on anymore. I’ve maintained it and cleaned it regularly. No idea why it’s done this and now I’m not sure what to do- Update-2.5 years and it’s in the trash. It stopped suctioning, kicking back everything, hose broke in multiple places, and filters just seem to stop it up even brand new ones.. goes to show that quality is definitely not a standard in products anymore. Very disappointed. Don’t buy this one unless you are looking to trade in every two years.
