Shark has been my go to for so many years and when buying this new house we ended up with carpet so a new vacuum was in order. My requirements for a new one were that it most of all not be a lift away as I feel those loose suction easily with so many parts that depend on seals, that it be pet friendly and come with attachments for pet hair, and that it be full size and not a stick vacuum or battery powered, this met and exceeded all those needs. This has a setting for tile or hard surfaces and carpet. The only thing I do wish it had was a rotating brush attachment for pet hair to use on like the sofa. It comes with one that has some felt pads that you drag along and it picks up hair but that also does not have a spot to house it on the vacuum itself. Aside from that I love this unit and it’s well worth the price.

Okay. I am the guy that vacuums because I am the guy that decided three (3) indoor long hair- crazily insane endlessly shedding bird dogs were my idea. Yes, they are lovable. In the war against dog hair on carpet, our six (6) year old Shark lost every single battle and finally lost the war when I got tired of using a shotgun cleaner rod to drive impacted dog hair out of the thing and freeing up the seized roller with scissors and knife. Yes, foul language was most often used to assist in the process. I needed new technology to save me from this dog hair hell and I found it this afternoon minutes after the Shark Navigator Pet box hit the front porch. So, here is the Straight Skinny-Packing- Excellent. Assembly-Idiot Proof 5 minutes. Suction-All you will ever need. Dust Bin Design-Perfect! No mess! Cord Length-A tad short, but okay. Weight- A little harder to push on carpet, but I attribute that to the brushroll design-worth it and you get some cardio! And, now for your key to Vacuum Nirvana- if you have pets & carpet- the ZERO M SELF CLEANING BRUSHROLL will have you falling to your knees wolf like Howling Hallelujah while your dogs hide behind the sofa wondering if you have lost your mind! Let them think what they want- your tears of joy are the "quenching" extinguishing the fires of pain and discontent that come after a couple years of hearing your wife say "spend the money and get a new vacuum that will clean the dog hair out of these carpets! " Hello, Nirvana! Bye, bye Carpet Hair Hell!

I replaced an older Shark with this one. It is so much better. We have 4 cats and 3 dogs. We leave in Phoenix, so our pets are inside a lot. This is the best vacuum we have had for pet hair. The roller has yet to get wrapped up in it. If you have pets, this is the vacuum for you.

I had been wanting to good vacuum for a few years and never did it, never did it. FINALLY, I researched different ones and asked friends and family what they had, and most people had a Shark. I picked this one, based on reviews and looks. I am so happy with it. As soon as I saw it on my porch, I set it up, which was SO easy to do, I didn't even look at the instructions.I used it over my whole house and it picked up SO MUCH DIRT. More than my other vacuum ever did (cough cough Bissel...). The main things I like about this vacuum are, it isn't super loud at all. I used it while my toddler napped. It rolls and maneuvers really easily. I love that you can control the suction, as I have a thicker rug in my living room and it allows me to vacuum it with ease AND still getting it cleaner and fluffing it back up to looking brand new. I like how easy it is to use, along with the hose. Its a longer, solid piece so you don't have to bend over so much to clean the edges and corners of your home. It is also lightweight (to me, compared to my Bissel i was using). I'm overall very happy with this vacuum. ONLY complaint is I wish the cord was a bit longer. My Bissel did have a longer cord for sure, but this is not a major thing to me. BUY THIS and you will love seeing how much dirt and dust it gets off your floors and furniture. Very worth it.

This has so much more suction than my old Dirt Devil vacuum! It took so, so much pet hair out of my rug. Plus the hose is so long! It reaches all sorts of places. I feel like my house is much cleaner already.

This is an awesome vacuum! Since moving to a home with all laminate floors, we have struggled to keep up with our golden retriever’s hair. This vacuum gets it all, even corners because of its maneuverability. Our lanai has outdoor carpet and it looks almost new after vacuuming it. The vacuum is a bit heavier than I like but it’s worth it.

OMG. The day has finally came. I've had kids of all ages in my house for so many years, that we never spent much on vacuum cleaners. Because the kids always ran over everything and would break every vacuum we had. We've recently become empty nesters and i finally decided to purchase a good vacuum. I absolutely love this vacuum. I have a staffy/bull mastiff mix that sheds bad, bad. I had just broom swept my whole house including my area rug in the living room. I vacuumed for about 20 minutes and filled the cup. Not Because it's a small cup. The cup is actually very big. But Because of the suction on this vacuum. It's incredible. The only con i have is that although it is light weight, when you have it on full suction it is sometimes hard to push, especially on a rug. Other than that one star delete, it's a great vacuum. Love the swivel head and although some people said the cord was too short, 25 feet worked great in my house and i have a pretty big house. You may have to move the cord every now and then, but that's a lot better then having to empty the canister all the time. I'll take it any day. Shipping was on time. Two days just like Amazon said. Also, thanks to Amazon for their payment plan or i wouldn't have been able to purchase this great vac for a while. It was a little bit of a splurge, but now that i am the only one going to use it i deserved and needed a new vacuum and this one more than fit the bill. Tip to Ninja add one more accessory holder please.

I love the way it pulls up the hair off the flooring and keeps the rollers clean...the best I have used so far in all my years..

We have a shark automatic vacuum we have really liked so we thought we would try our luck with this upright. It’s been a fantastic cleaner for us and shows very little wear after a lot of use. Here’s some of what we like: 1) The vacuum is lightweight and maneuverable. Easy to take upstairs with the handle and get into corners and under beds. 2) The handle detaches to a wand with a long reach for ceilings, fans or hard to reach places like behind furniture as shown in the product page photos. 3) There is a lot of power for such a little appliance. We were surprised at the suction we still had as we were expecting to trade that off for size and weight. 4) Unlike other vacuums we’ve had, hair and other debris don’t get wrapped around the brush. We’ve used it a long time and have yet to have to do the dreaded detangling. 5) The absolute best part of this vacuum is the clean up. The filter / waste detach from the rest without leaving a big mess behind like the others did. Then you hold it over a trash and open the bottom lid like in my photo and all the dust and dirt fall right into the trash. No beating the sides and such like others we’ve had before. Overall this is a great vacuum for the money and we highly recommend it.
