This is a very meh straightener. It really doesn’t do much to my hair, I have to set it to the highest heat setting to see any type of styling happen and my hair is typical fine-medium hair. I loved my HSI straightener off Amazon but wanted to try something else because I had to replace it after it died. Save your money, buy a different one.

I was really excited to receive this straightener. I like how fast it heats up, the swivel cord, & the auto turn off. However, I probably would not buy again because of how it snags your hair! Something this nice I don't think should do that. It's really annoying. And for that reason, I would not recommend this straightener.

Don’t buy this straightener... it doesn’t do it’s intended purpose.. to straighten and curl! I have curly hair and it takes me longer to straighten my hair with this thing compared to my old one.. and to curl it.. forget about it. If I try to sit here and curl my hair all day I’ll end up frying my hair off before I get a curl out of it. Waste of money

This flat iron was AMAZING! I am giving it 2 star because it straightened and curled my hair like nothing I've ever used before. However, the third time I went to use it, it wouldn't even power on. I am so disappointed. I am returning to Amazon and I am not reordering because I hate to spend that much and have it die after the time in which I can return it.

This straightener works really well and I loved it, especially for the price. However, it stopped working after about 4 months. I turned it on just the other day and it smelled funny so I turned it off and tried it again later on. When I tried to turn it back on again that same day, it wouldn’t come on. I’m very disappointed it quit working after just 4 months of use.

Started out great. Easy to curl and easy to straighten. Great promise at the start but heating element gave out quickly. Less than a year later using it only a few times a month it’s ready for the trash. Now I know why it was sale.

Ok straightener, doesn’t keep my hair straight all day. I have to run my hair through it 4 or more times, just to get it to somewhat straighten. By the time I leave my house, my hair already has waves to it. I researched straighteners for thick course hair and this one was top choice, but it’s definitely not my top choice. My $25 Remington straightener worked better. I turned it and will hopefully find something better.

I was so excited to buy this as I was growing out my hair. Don’t be fooled that the plates run the length of the barrel because they don’t. The tip of the barrel says heat resistant but I burned my fingers twice. My hair looked very frizzy and damaged after using, even on the lowest setting. I wish I could return it but the window has passed.

I am a cosmotolgy student, so granted I used this everyday. 2 months into me owning it, it experienced a failure and began burning off hair. Literally burning and falling out on contact. Tried letting it cool down and trying again later (mannequin) but same thing happened. I can say, however, that it was lovely before that and the return process is easy.

The plates are not smooth at all and my hair continuously got caught and pulled out around the plates. The plates are short so long hair does not make it through entirely on a curl. The temperature setting adjusts in increments so it goes from 355 to 410 which is a significant difference. At 355 my thick hair didn’t curl and at 410 it burned. I would NOT recommend this product if you want to save your hair -invest in a higher quality iron with ceramic plates. I do like the lock feature and accessories but that was about it
