Not good for making curls.

I was really excited to try this product specifically for the curling option, I currently own a bio-ionic hair straightener and really enjoy it. I wanted to compare the two. Sadly. I am not impressed. My hair easily holds a curl with a straightener pretty easily. I felt that this iron, did not generate enough heat to curl my hair. I did watch the tutorials; but I’m pretty experienced with using a hair iron to curl my hair. So I was expecting it, being a thinner size, to give me MORE defined curls, but sadly I got less. I had the heat cranked up to 450 and still gave me the fat, loose, undefined curls.

Lock broke after 1 year

The lock feature broke in this after 1 year. It wouldn't be so bad but the screw is in the flat iron and it stops it from closing all the way to straighten any hair.

It wasn't a product for me

I attached a picture of my hair using this item on my wedding day. Unfortunately I couldn't use it myself, whenever I did it wouldn't curl my hair, so I needed assistance which was strange since it wouldn't work (I had to really pull my hair to curl it, & I wasn't strong enough to do it myself). When using this product it pulled out SO much hair, it hurt really bad. I got a lot of compliments on my hair, however I wouldn't purchase this again.

Disappointed with this iron

I had high hopes after reading positive reviews but I was sadly disappointed. I’ve been trying so hard to find an iron that straightens and curls. It doesn’t clamp down and hold my hair very well while using it. It tugs. Ruins the texture. Curls do not stay in. The temp control isn’t that great; it jumps from 355 to 410. No in between. Will have to return. Maybe it’s not meant for fine hair.

Great feel, substandard performance

A few weeks later and on behalf of the user: A struggle to curl or even straighten without really pulling my hair. Not sure what all the fuss was about, but for me and my thin hair, it just doesn’t work well at all. Went right back to my old straightener and will have to save up to get a different one. Apparently the cost is a good indicator of the value of this straightener. You got me this time. It won’t happen again. Initial Review: Great product overall. I like the weight and feel of the tool. I also like the adjustable heat on the end of tool with no buttons in the way. Seems to curl and straighten nicely.

Doesn't grip hair well

I Update: I tried this again and my hair wouldn't even stay in it. I thought I had more time to return it, I got very busy and didn't get it returned. I can't use it and can't return it. 😕 Original review: I don't feel this grips hair tightly enough. I had to try and hold it closed very tightly and it still didn't feel tight enough. If you have strong hands it may work better. It does come with several nice accessories.

A little disappointed ....

I waited a while to try this a few times before I gave my review. I have very coarse curly hair so finding something just right is usually hard. I wanted to give this a try because of pictures and reviews but it disappointed me. First thing I do not like is that it does not keep hot after you’re done and switch to another piece. I have to wait at least 20 seconds between each strand to make sure it is heated again. My other complaint is that even though it has curved edges to prevent snags (cool concept!) my hair still gets caught in the plates. I am out of return period because I do not straighten my hair much or I would return this product ! Had high expectations and was a bit disappointed

Ok, but not worth the cost. Doesn't work the same on all hair types.

Pros 1. I like the design of this flat iron. It fits in the hand and easy to maneuver for curling or straightening. 2. Heats up quickly. 3. Smooth pulling, does not pull my hair put or get snagged. Cons 1. Temperature does not seem accurate. I had all the way up to 410 and did not smooth out my frizz. 2. The straightener seemed to work better for my daughters hair who doesn't have quite as unruly/frizz. 3. Does not take all the body away, but is not as straight as I prefer my hair. The ends seem to be super dry. My prior straightener did not leave the ends damaged looking. All in all this is a decent flat iron, but not for all hair types. I am very picky about my irons, and this does not make the cut.

Save your money! Iron looks good, but no performance.

I waited a long time for the flat iron to arrive, and I wanted to love it, but I cannot write a positive review. My old one works much better. First, the plates are too small and delicate. They slip over the hair quickly and do not create any tension to pull the hair straight. The iron just doesn’t seem to straighten my hair and I have to go over and over the sections to get them straight. I have thin, blonde hair, but it’s wavy and I have a lot of hair. It should straighten hair of my texture quickly, but it doesn’t. Not fond of the way the temperature setting works either. Would rather have a quick on/off option, but instead you have to twist the end through all the temperature settings to turn it on and off. Overall very disappointing performance. My recommendation is to save your money and buy a less expensive iron that will work just as well if not better. Sorry to say, but in all honesty, this one doesn’t do the job.

I Wish it Didn't Die so Quickly

So when I first bought this product and tried to use it I put it at 450 degrees because both my roommate and my hair are really curly. It stayed hot for about 5-10 mins. Then it fast blinked and wouldn't stay hot. I grabbed her power strip and used that with it and that kept it hot for the rest of the process. I then bought myself a power strip and that seemed to work well. However, I went to use it tonight and it wouldn't stay hot with my power strip or my roommate's. I would turn it down to 350 degrees and it would work for 5 mins and then it would blink fast and lose heat. I would unplug the power strip; turn the strip off and on; and turn the straightener off and on. All of these things were temporarily fixed. I am bummed out because this has been my favorite straightener in my life and the only straightener that actually keeps my hair straight in humid weather.
