I long how fast this iron heats up and how long the barrel is. My hair is chest length and very thick and I found this iron easy to use and faster than my old one thanks to the longer barrel. I also love the temperature control nob, it is smooth but won't move around on you while you curl. Auto off is amazing and has saved me from turning around and going back home because I couldn't remember if I turned my curling iron off. So, I’ve used a really great curling iron for years now. When Stellar Testing Panel sent this to me for a review, I was so impressed. First off, the thumb clip is extremely ergonomic. I didn’t realize with any of my last curling irons how uncomfortable it was to use that but this one is just so easy to use and in the perfect spot. I’ve also noticed with a lot of other curling iron brands that there’s like a weird smell sometimes when you curl your hair almost like it’s burning, but not quite. This one feels like it uses way less heat to get the same exact result. I am loving this! I even tried it three different ways: Ringlet curls, Brushed out ringlets, And loose curls. All three look great and last all day. Another problem I found with other curling irons is that your hair gets trapped in the spaces where the plastic meets the metal or where the clamp meets the barrel but this one I had to zero ZERO trouble with. My hair didn’t get snagged once and it felt like butter when I was pulling the strand through to get to the ends. I highly recommend this curling iron. My results were even more amplified when I use the heat protectant mouse. Not only did they last longer, but my hair was very protected and I didn’t notice as much damage after using the curling iron for a few weeks straight.

Wow! I am super impressed with Hot Tools pro Signature 1 1/4” 24K Gold Extended Barrel Curling Iron! Immediately when I first held the handle I noticed that it feels very high end with its smooth matte finish and it is very comfortable to hold. I want to start by saying - thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this hair care item. This curling iron is super light weight. I was surprised how durable it was. It heated up super fast. While I was using the curling iron the temperature was always stable. I’ve had some irons that you can easily bump the temperature. Not the case with this one! It’s definitely a good looking curling iron. I love the shine it has. I typically go for a smaller barrel because it’s what I’m used to. This honestly was so much faster for a quick curl that lasted all day. I did use different products on the sides of my hair to just see what worked best with it in these pictures. But after brushing out the curls it gave me the bounce look I wanted. I’m growing my hair back out from lots of damage. So this iron will definitely be a go to for me as it helped blend the horrible layers.
