Although I'm not going to lie, I didn't really read the instructions the first time because I was so excited. And the machine definitely startled me when it started working. The light indicator is really useful. It doesn't get too hot. And best of all it actually works

I was so excited to try out the Braun silk expert 5 for an alternative hair removal treatment that I could do at home for a fraction of the price. This came beautifully packaged with its own carrying case, a razor and an extra head to be used for smaller areas. I was very excited to start my treatments but a bit worried that it wouldn’t work, or it would be painful, or that I would have a reaction. Thankfully, it was painless with little to no irritation to my skin in most areas. I loved that there are two separate heads to use for big and smaller areas. I also liked that there were different modes and at first I did start off with the extra sensitive mode that had the lowest light intensity and gradually progressed to higher intensity as I got used to the treatment. This was very easy to use and after a few weeks of use I am already seeing a huge difference in hair growth. I am so happy I found a device that actually works in eliminating my hair growth. I was only using it on my legs at first to see if it worked and now will be using it on other areas. I love this product and highly recommend it for getting rid of unwanted hair.

Being able to follow the easy instructions was a huge relief. Also being able to do this in the privacy of my own home was great. My husband has also asked to use it on problem areas for him. I have been VERY impressed at the results and the ease of use. I’d first say definitely read the instructions. It’s not hard to use or operate but to get the best results (fastest) follow the directions. I noticed my hair growing back thinner after a few weeks then not growing back at all after about a month. I will continue to use this for 4-6 months to hopefully rid the areas from hair that I want gone! The pain isn’t bad. It doesn’t really sting, just feels warm and not bad at all. I’m a wuss and I can deal with it daily! Overall this is a well made product that works! Once you get in a groove with it, it’s quick and doesn’t take much time! It’s well worth the time when you start to notice hair not growing back!

It comes in an adorable blush case to keep everything packed away neatly. I will say the experience when using the device is strange. It's not painful but there is a bit of a shock feeling when it is pulsing the light. It's bright too. Directions say it takes 4 weeks to show results and then you need maintenance treatments. A good home alternative for hair removal that is more affordable.

I started using the Braun Silk Expert and noticed quickly that it was not coming back so quickly. I decided to focus on my face to start since that was my biggest area of problems. The instructions are easy to follow and really made it easy to get started. I really am pleased with the results and its boosted my confidence using. The cord is a nice size length that really makes it easier to use. I really like the case this stores in and the fact it comes with a razor to get you started.

I also did not want to pay for professional laser hair removal. To start with, this device comes with so many different attachments and a quality carrying case. It works best if you have a bigger difference between your skin tone and hair color. I have very pale skin and medium brown hair. I tested it exactly as instructed and had no issues then a week later did my legs on the sensitive setting. From then on I used the regular setting as instructed. I had no pain or burning at all. I have only been using for a few weeks and have started seeing a reduction in hair. I’m excited to keep trying on different areas and see how it works.
