I have been using HR Block software probably 2 decades now and remain a loyal user. My tax situation is pretty simple and straightforward, but tax laws and language have always been a challenge to me. The software takes the stress out of the process for me.

Simple, accurate (as far as we know), very user friendly tax prep program. We gather the necessary paperwork through the course of the year and spend an afternoon (less than, really) inputting the required information and filing both state and federal taxes.

Used H&R Block for 4 (or more) years. Superior quality and better price than my previous tax software. Has all needed forms for many special cases, Very easy to use - has great helps and will lead you step by step through any tax needs including trusts. If you are experienced, you can do your taxes very quickly by just going directly to the necessary tax forms or work sheets. Has great editing and warns of possible missed tax reporting requirements or possible deductions. I do my taxes very quickly and have a lot of different things to report.

I've been using H&R Block for five years. As with any tax return software there's a learning curve the first year, but it's not steep with this one. After that so much gets filled in automatically and I can do my taxes in an hour or two. I regularly get my refunds in late February or early Match.

It flags any potential problems, to ensure accuracy and to reduce the chance of an audit. I usually have my taxes completed and filed within an hour or two. E-Filing is easy, and I usually know the same day of filing if my return has been accepted.

The program itself is pretty easy to use. As a former preparer, I like to bounce back and forth from the interview to the forms more than most people and the software is so all-inclusive that some navigation is required, but it is a fairly efficient link. There are no problems dealing with the company insofar as getting notifications, accessing the website, and using discounts.

Over the years, I have used various tax software brands. To me, they all do an acceptable job, so I make my choice based on which product offers the best value. At this time, H&R Block gives me the best value and I will continue to purchase their products in the future as long as the value is there.

No problem doing the taxes, only thing I ran into was filing the state. I could not find a way to pay and file state taxes online. So I printed them out and mailed them in. Why is it everytime a geek updates a program they make it less user friendly.

I've been using H&R Block for my family's taxes for decades without issue. The price is reasonable and the features seem to improve year over year. Some years my taxes can be reasonable complex and I know I can depend on H&R Block to get me through them. I have discovered some "bunny trail" items in the software that can mislead regardless of how closely they are followed; thereby, requiring a more in depth study of the tax code to get things to the letter of the law.
