Really like the rollerball swivel feature that allows for easy maneuvering. I wish this model had a retractable cord—seen other brands w/ comparable features and price range include retractable cord. Also, it has the same capacity to pickup dirt and pet hair as my previous non-pet specific Bissell vacuum.

I purchased this vacuum on Sept 30. At first, I was very happy with it, the shipping was fast (2 days) and it was easy to assemble. The suction power is really strong, it is not so loud and it is very easy to handle. However, the belt broke during vacuuming, and therefore the brush roll stopped working. I was very disappointed because it was only the fourth time I was using it, and it was only used to vacuum carpeted floor from the bedrooms and 2nd floor hallway. I know that belts are not expensive or hard to replace but it really bothers me that something brand new break that fast. I could have bought a used one for less money if I knew that I had to deal with repairs and part replacement that soon.

I would buy from Bissell again but not this particular vacuum. I gotta say, it never ceases to amaze me, the design of vacuums...do those who design cleaners actually CLEAN???? I mean seriously hard core clean??? When you want to stop vacuuming your carpet and use the attachments, the brush roller doesn't stop spinning. There is actually a warning on the vacuum for this. Hand slap to head, Bissell. Come on!! Has anyone ever truly cleaned with the attachments before???? Use the attachment and CLEANED a couch?? Or used the attachment to clean all along the mopboards of a room?? You can't leave the brush roll run the entire time you are using the attachment. You ruin your carpet. I have pets. I use the attachments to clean their pet beds, etc. I have to ensure the vacuum isn't sitting on carpet while I use the attachment to clean their things or the spaces I already mentioned otherwise I will ruin my rugs from the brush roller running continuously in one spot. Plus trying to fight that rigid short attachment hose that all uprights have ... it is just frustrating.

I really wanted to love this product. Sadly, I don't. I've owned it for a couple of months now and everything was going fine until recently. The brush wasn't spinning properly and the belt was burning. While disassembling to replace the belt I found a major design flaw. The compartment where the belt is located allows for major hair buildup which then prevents the belt from moving. As a vacuum that is advertised as a "pet model" I would expect it to be able to handle a moderate amount of pet hair without completely jamming the machine. I was able to remove the clog and change the belt but this will now be a consistent issue. Very disappointed.

The vacuum does a very good cleaning job but my concern is the cumbersome of the machine. I spoke with someone on Bissell web and told them I just wanted a good vacuum without all the frills but i want it lightweight and easy to handle. This machine is the biggest cumbersome vacuum I have ever had. I had a Sanatair vacuum before and it was smaller and easy to handle. You may want to inform your chat people about the size of this vacuum. If there is a smaller and lighter in weight that is what I would have liked.

Light weight and easy to use.

I purchased this vacuum to replace a Shark vacuum. The suction is good, similar to the Shark; however it is difficult to maneuver on thick carpet.

We've had this vacuum for about a year now and have been pleased with no real issues until recently. When using on the highest setting, 4, it's like pushing wet snow, very hard to push. I can only assume it's the humidity on the carpet. Do you have any recommendations?
David
Handles well, light weight, only problem removes carpet fiber extensively

It really does pick up the pet hair. I find it very awkward to use, large and bulky under furniture. The hose is extremely short, the attachment storage has everything right at hand.
