Good suction, but not enough for my pet needs.

This vacuum comes with it's pros and cons. I love that its lightweight. I have a hard time vacuuming the stairs with my Shark because it's heavier. I love the suction and that it is adjustable according to the height in rug pile. The cord is longer than my Shark, so that's a pro too. One of the things I really don't like about this vacuum is the length of the hose. Even with the extender wand it is still quite short. I am also disappointed in the Turbo Eraser, which is an added brush. It is ment to pick up pet hair, and while it does pick up the surface layer, it doesn't get embedded hairs. With two Australian Shepherds and two cats, long and short haired, I need something more powerful. This is quite a loud vacuum as well, louder than my Shark. Lastly, I dislike the canister. The bottom does pop open for hands free removal, but often hair will build up and get trapped in the top. There is no way to remove it without reaching in and pulling it out.

Ok for what it is.

Just bought and used this vacuum. You have to put some pieces together like the handle. Compared to the previous Bissell that I had (Healthy Home), I would say it feels cheap. Vacuum power however seems similar to my other vacuum, and picks up a good amount of dirt. What drives me crazy about this vacuum is the high pitched sound that the motor gives off while using it. Almost unbearable. The Turbo brush works well. The dust brush is cheap. The cord length is adequate. I doubt very much that this will last. My other Bissell lasted 10 years. This might last 3. Something I don't get why vacuum engineers haven't added to these uprights is a little fold out support on the back of the vacuum to stop it from flipping backwards when you want to use the hose and turbo brush on the floor. I have some areas where I have heavier objects and I want to go underneath them without moving and every time the upright falls backwards. It happened with my other vacuum too. Since the hose comes out the back you get more length than trying to use the hose from the front, where yes the vacuum wouldn't fall forward. It wouldn't cost a lot to have this feature. Maybe a couple of dollars in plastic. Because there is only one motor compared to the Healthy Home which had two, the carpet brush always spins. It is however raised off the rug when put in upright position. The ball feature is nice, but it is really not effective, and just puts your hand in a more comfortable position rather than steering. The connection of the hose to the vacuum is snugness, not a click like the Healthy Home. This gives me a feeling that at some point this is going to be a fail area for the vacuum to loose suction. Pros: Light weight, good suction for now, turbo brush, looks nice Cons: feels cheap, high pitched squeal, no fold-able support brace on back, brush always spins even when upright and using just the hose, ball feature really isn't a steering device, connection of hose to vacuum

Not very sturdy

I've only had this vacuum for 2 months and it sounds like it's about to give out. I don't know if it's the wheels or the vacuum itself, but it squeals when I roll it back and forth. I guess the suction and beater brush work ok since the recepticle canister is full of dirt and hair when I'm done cleaning. I just don't feel like the vacuum is very sturdy and won't last very long.

Not Bad Not Great

I like this vacuum but I don't think I'm in love. It does do better than my previous vacuum that I found a couple black Fridays ago but it still doesn't do the greatest on my hardwood floors (and that's its what 90% of my house is!) I love the bag less aspect tho! And I love the attachments just wish I had one more setting that I could lower on my vacuum height!

Why the blower?

I got it for pet hair but hard to vaccum pet hair when the blower/fan is in the front blowing it up and all over the place

Everything about this vacuum is great except one thing

Everything about this vacuum is great except one thing - the hose is way to short to be of any real use therefore vastly limiting the use of the attachments. It is such a design flaw, that it warranted only three stars in my opinion.

Good if you don't plan on using the tools, tubing is short

I use it to vacuum daily, it has great suction but the canister bottom holds on to dirt because of the flaps and flips it in the air & on the floor. The cord needs to be longer. The tool tubing is too short and tight, it pulls the vacuum over when using the tools. Besides these flaws I love it, would've given it 5 stars but for the canister bottom, short cord and short tight tool tubing.

No, I would not buy again.

At first I couldn't believe all the particles, dust it was picking up from my carpet. When it came to the bedroom with the powder dust on the carpet it lost its suction. The Bissel Clearview swivel Pet vacuum has some problems to work out.

It's ok.

Not as powerful, but again you get what you paid for. Descent for the price.

Solid Mid-range Machine

This is a good solid vacuum cleaner that does a nice job of cleaning dirt off carpets. It's an effective cleaner with great suction, and it is easy to empty (no bags). Basically, it gets the job done. But it's heavy and bulky; it doesn't lie flat to get under beds and couches; the hose is too short to be much help; the power cord is on the short side; and the pet hair removal tool doesn't do a great job. None of these are dealbreakers--the vacuum is good, but next time I'll spend a little more to get a lighter, more servicable device.
