Broken within a year

I purchased this in March of 2023 and it's already broken. During one use, it stopped suctioning and emitted a burnt smell. I took it apart and saw that a rubber hose had broken and burned up. Good while it worked but can't believe it didn't even last a year. What a waste.

Belt Broke Twice

We’ve had this vacuum for a while now, since late summer or early fall. The belt on the brush broke at the end of December and I replaced it. It broke again today (January) and I replaced it yet again. We have a husky and 4 cats. I don’t think it holds up well to all of the hair. The attachments are nice for cleaning off the couch and cat tree, but overall with the belt breaking so often it’s not worth it.

Would not buy this model again

I'm a previous BISSEL owner and bought this model to replace my old model. Replaced the brush roller and hose on my old model since it isn't brushing the hair out of the carpet like it had when it was new. This new model 2316, was purchased in Nov 2023. Most reviews I read about this model were positive. Yes it does have GREAT suction, but hair builds up inside the brush cover. I'd expect this if I had wall to wall carpet, but I'm only vacuuming a 12x14' bedroom. I also don't like that the brushes continue to run while you're using the crevice tool. The turbo tool stops running when applied to the surface being vacuumed. I would not recommend this model. You will spend more time taking it apart to keep up maintenance on it. Wish I would've sent it back!!!

Not a good product

Horrible , it works sometimes I had it roughly for 6 months and i find myself sweeping the carpet majority of the time

Its broken already

Broken already! I’ve only used 4 times for our stairs which is the only carpeted place in our home. You get what you paid for.

Not great

Just bought and unfortunately will be returning. Just super cheap feeling and awkward. The hose is short and just feels kind of janky. It’s not as user friendly and convenient and comfortable as the shark pet lift away that I had before.

Great at first, sub-par immediately after

Hang on to your old vacuum just in case. The first time I used this it was amazing, I felt like my carpet had never looked better. The second time it was almost on par with my previous vacuum that was about a year old. The third time I used this I found myself questioning if it was actually vacuuming or if the brush was just rotating and leaving it's pattern. It's been 2 months since my purchase and now I am completely regretting it. The vacuum still runs, but the performance drop is just insane.

Belt needs replacing far more often than any vacuum ive ever owned

I’ve had this vacuum almost a year. I’ve replaced the belt 3x. A faulty design, I think? The roller spins even if you’re using the hose (which I’m questioning if my other vacuums also did that? But in over 20 years of having my own house and vacuums, this is the only one that I’ve had to replace belts on). One time someone ran over a sock. The other 2 times it sat on a thick rug as we were using the hose on edges. The vacuum seems fine otherwise? But it’s frustrating to have to change out belts so often.
