Good not great

I loved the rotating bristles on this vaccum and it picked up a lot of hair and dirt but it ultimately did not make the cut. The suction needs to be stronger. lightweight and quiet but even after multiple passes I used my old dyson after and still picked up what the bissel didn't.

It's ok

It's great on the bare floors but it doesn't raise up high enough to vacuum shag area rug. Disappointing

50/ 50 recommend

Loved this vacuum but after 2 weeks the belt snapped. I always make sure the settings are correct for where I vacuum but when using the attachments, the bristles still spill and it made the belt snap. Replacing it but if it breaks again, I'll return it and try something else

Works great on animal hair but attachments need some work

This is a suggestion for your engineer/design department…Can someone design a vacuum that doesn't fall over on you every time one uses the attachments/tube? It has fallen on everyone's head, foot, legs, etc…in our household. We look like we have been in a cage fight after we use the attachments. And the vacuum is victorious every time. All the advancements in vacuums and no one can fix this problem?

Cleans Well When It is Working

I was very excited when I first got this vacuum because it cleans so well -- really picks up the dirt, and it light and easy to maneuver. Unfortunately, it is very unreliable. I have had this vacuum for a year and have had to replace the belts three times, including once within a month of purchase. Bissell is no help and says that belt replacement is part of regular maintenance, but I have never had to replace a belt 3x in a year with any other vacuum brand. The belt looks and smells burnt when it breaks, and all Bissell can say is that it is because my roller is dirty (it is not). I have to keep a supply of belts on hand so that I am not caught without one. Because of this, I cannot recommend this product or brand. I am going back to my Shark after this (had one for 7 years and never replaced a belt!).

Sucks up dog hair great, but after just a month of use the belt is no good.

Decent

Worked great for about a year. Quit sucking even after cleaning out entirely.

Works, but you'll have to work at it.

I loved this vacuum when I first got it. Light weight, easy to use. But then I realized that with the cord coming from the bottom of the vacuum, you have to hold the cord with one hand all the time, otherwise you will vacuum it up. Can't move furniture or items around while you are vacuuming. And now the belt broke just after owning it a year. My Dyson belt never broke and I owned it for 10 yrs.

It was good until the belt broke

I bought this in Sept 2020. It worked well for picking up Great Pyrenees hair. But when using the extension piece, the roller keeps spinning and it got tangled in the rug and seized and the belt broke. I replaced the belt which immediately broke and now the roller and housing are broken. This was an expensive appliance that broke down after 5 months. Very disappointed

Not effective for Aussie Shepards + 3x weekly use

This is my second bissell, specifically one for pets + allergies, and this one in no way, lives up to its name. My last one was decent, but died after seven years. We had replaced the belts a few times over the years and repaired all that we could do I decided to replace it with the newer generation. But I can honestly tell you every second or third time I’ve used it I have to take it apart and clear out all the hair that gets trapped under the belt. I wouldn’t mind if this was the occasional use, but I have an Australian Shepherd and two toddlers, I vacuum every second or third day so for me to have to take a screw driver to the base of my machine, remove the cover, clear out the trapped hair on a weekly basis - it’s just not worth it. This is a major design flaw that I am highly disappointed in. The previous model did not collect hair this manner, and it was rare for the belts to need replacement. I live in a home that only has area rugs on top of hardwood floors. I don’t vacuum the majority of my home, only large rugs in a few rooms, otherwise I use a stick vac for hardwood floors. I would NOT recommend this vacuum for anyone with a medium or heavy shedding pet.
