I am in freaking LOVE! My kit arrived PERFECT! The pre-waxing oil and the after cooking gel were tight and in their own bag. I have used this on my underarms (doesn't hurt at all) and do my own Brazilian. Let me just say, for those who have never done that before (salon or otherwise) this makes it so easy! Of course the closer you get to the goodies the more tender but just follow the directions, google how to do you own wax and RELAX! FYI: just the warmer itself is like $30 at Sally's so buy this kit!! :*

I was dismayed to find the entire 2oz bottle of oil empty when I received my kit, and the dome cover was cracked. I wanted to send it back but I had waited so long to try a wax at home, I kept it. So with no oil I used a little and I mean tiny amount of olive oil instead. I really wasn't sure how this would effect things. It was fine. The kit works great. I watched the dvd and I believe this helped me. I have never waxed anything prior to doing this. I was worried about the pain, forgot to take anything for it like other reviews suggested. All in all it wasn't to bad. At first I didn't think it was painful at all. Then I got to some more sensitive areas and Yes very tender but I muscled threw. I think with practice it will get better. I learned what works and what doesn't. Make sure your hair is short, apply thinner rather than thick, and get the right hardness. To tacky hurts and over hardened wax hurts. I will keep the kit, the results were great!!! I did everything down below and very happy it was just what I wanted. Took me about two hrs, I thought it would be faster at first but a couple times I almost gave up, glad I didn't. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to have a smooth soft area.

I looked forward to using this product and dreaded it at the same time because I had never waxed before and figured it was going to hurt very badly. The CD that comes with it is kind of useless but that doesn't change the 5 star rating. Waxing isn't rocket science and if I can figure it out anyone can! The wax that comes with the warmer is in a pretty big can. I have waxed twice and still have enough for at least 2-3 more waxes. A couple of things: make sure your hair is cut very short and pull the skin tight when you peel the wax. Also, use both bottles of the pre and post wax products, they work. Before this I had purchased an epilator that I promptly threw in the garbage because it was terribly painful! Using that was self-induced torture!!! The GiGi wax system is much better in terms of pain and once you get used to it, waxing doesn't hurt as much as the first time you do it. I love this product and will definitely continue using it!

The media could not be loaded. I am amazed by this product. The oil it comes with for beedorer use makest skin feel soft n hydrated and the gel afterwards does cool the skin. I used this on my bikini artea and got as much as i could off. But it didn't hurt as much as the professionals and it got A LOT of hair on the first few tries. With the waxing salons closed right now, this is the best bet for a do it at home career routine until I can get professionally done again.

I had been thinking of going and getting my bikini area waxed but with 3 kids I just never had time to go. I researched the different methods and products and decided on the Gigi hard wax kit. I've done it twice now and it was easier and faster after just one time. The first time was an adventure but I figured it out and watching the DVD helped also. I turned the warmer up to high until the wax melted and then turn it down to low. The wax doesn't burn or hurt my skin at all. Suggestions: Take an advil about 30 minutes before you start, make sure your hair is trimmed because if it's too long it hurts more, don't wax during your period because that area is more sensitive and it will hurt more (I was too excited to wait) and make sure to let the wax setup before trying to peel it off or you will have a waxy mess on your finger nails. It is pretty time consuming at first but I'm sure I'll get faster the more often I do it. I'm completely happy with my purchase and will be purchasing more hard wax when mine runs out!

adorable addition to my bathroom! My first time waxing myself lol I learned that wax is wax and it sticks no matter what but if you respect its consistency and be careful and you’ll be fine. Coconut oil is the way to go when removing excess off of anything! (Hair, counter, mirror) Only con would be temp control, there’s no telling exactly how hot it’ll get you have to mess with it and measure it out over time but it melts smoothly and nicely.

This kit worked out awesome for us. Waxing is kind of scary (or at least was for me) so I went to have it done professionally the first time and learn a bit from them. After that, it was nice to be able to do it at my own pace in privacy. The wax has a slight odor, not unpleasant and not heavily perfumed, which works just fine for me. We tried the extra oils and sprays it came with, but they didn't seem to help and caused a little irritation for me, but many things do. The warmer itself heats quickly, setting it to high and keeping busy for a bit is all you really need before putting it to low to get started. Make sure to observe safety and sanitary concerns, learn about how to prevent ingrown hairs and never rush. I've used it on my bikini area, arm pits (with assistance) and eyebrows with no trouble, all multiple times, and still plenty in the pot. Will definitely get a refill when it runs out, it has become an essential :)

OK, being a guy I've never waxed anything and I've never shaved anything other than my face for the most part. My wife wanted this kit so she could do an at home Brazilian. According to the DVD that comes with it she did the Full Brazilian and I got a Sphinx. I've never waxed anyone before and the instructions were very easy to understand. Her waxing went painlessly as I used a good bit of wax and went PAST the patches of hair I could get a grip on the wax WITHOUT pulling the initial few hairs individually. After you rip the wax off you have to apply pressure to the area to slightly relieve the pain. As I stated before her waxing went flawless and painless. She wanted to practice so I volunteered somewhat reluctantly and let her try it out. 3 Things to remember: 1) You have to wax PAST the hair to make a grip 2) apply PRESSURE after you rip the hair away 3) make sure you pull with enough force to rip it in ONE shot. My wife did not do any of those 3 simultaneously so I am not ready to ever let her wax me again. She on the other hand loves the results and is more than happy to let me wax her again and is looking forward to it. I contemplated payback but I like the results too and I love the view when I get to wax her. If you're a guy, WATCH THE DVD AND DO IT RIGHT! You'll thank me later! :) It's been two weeks since and there is little to no hair growth still. Be sure you have tweezers to get the few strays that have awesome root in your skin (yes, there will be a few tough ones). Other than that, you might want to get the spill sleeves. It comes with only one. It's so you don't get the warmer all waxed up. Very great purchase overall. Much much cheaper than going to a spa and getting it done. Good luck!

I just used this for the first time last night. I have always been a shaver, but after my last long weekend away at the beach and I forgot to pack a razor, I swore never again. Shaving bikini area does require everyday maintance. That's why I wanted to give this a try. Well, I won't say it doens't hurt. It does, but not that bad. So last night I tried it out first on my 17 yr olds legs, to get the hang of it. She was a willing participant and laughed through it the entire time. So this morning I watched the video that comes with it and gave it a try. Well, practice makes perfect. You do have to get the hang of it. How much wax to use, drying time etc.. Bikini areas of course are really sensitive, but all in all it went really well and I love how soft and smooth my skin looks. I did put on the pre oil treatment, just make sure you don't use too much or the wax wont stick. I also used an after oil, but purchased argon oil as another review had recommended. I do not know yet how long before the hair will start growing back. I will be happy to add to my review with more info when I can.

Love this kit. Bought one years ago and got rid of it in a move, then came to deeply regret that. This hard wax system is SO much easier to use than the messy, gooey soft wax version, you don't need any strips, and it hurts a lot less too! I'm a real baby with pain, but I did a pretty extensive bikini wax on myself in about an hour the first time I tried this. Just be sure to put the warmer down on the lowest setting - I put mine up to medium to melt the wax faster thinking it wouldn't be a problem, and I had to turn it back down to low and wait so I wouldn't burn myself.
