Sometimes I think people write negative reviews just for the sake of it. Giving a product less stars because you didn't read the product description properly or don't understand how to use it makes no sense. Especially not for a product like this. This warmer kit is actually a GREAT product at a great value. And despite being labelled as a 'pro kit' it comes with written instructions (which I admit I didn't really read) and an instructional (kinda) dvd. The warmer itself is very straight forward and easy to use. Kit comes with more or less all you need including a few collars. As for the question of how to use the "rest bars", just drop them into your wax once it is melted (kit comes with 3 so you can probably just leave it there). I also bought a brazilian wax and an all-purpose honee, but I actually really like the creme wax that came with the kit, and it is really easy to work with (in my opinion). Personally my only regret is that I didn't buy a double pot warmer. Right now in the process of deciding between getting an additional double or a second single. With three different types of wax, all of which I use at the same time (for different areas) it is a bit inconvenient to have to stop and wait for a second tin to melt. So if you know you also use more than one type you might want to take that into consideration. But if set on a single unit, this is a GREAT kit to invest in.

I have had some BAD experiences with all different kinds of wax. This is finally something I will never switch from. Professional quality. Big pot, which is nice compared to some other pots that are horribly small. Easy clean up with the paper liner. It heats up quick and holds just the right temperature. I have pretty sensitive skin also and as long as I use the before and after stuff provided I have no problems, some ingrown hairs but that's inevitable for me. I still must consume half a bottle of vodka and it still hurts like a mother but what do you expect with ripping your hairs out?! I have yet to wax my eye brows, but I use it regularly on my hoo-ha and my armpits. As long as you have the basic knowledge on how to wax yourself you will have no problems at all. (apply with the grain and rip off against the grain, hold the skin TIGHT and it will come off easy, and to lessen the afterpain touch it with your hand immediately, something about the skin to skin contact helps) I would recommend this to anyone and everyone.

I absolutely love this product, unlike other waxing kits that tend to be really messy, this one is perfect! To my opinion it is not messy at all, it sticks to the hair and not to your skin, it makes the whole procedure less painful. This was my first time trying waxing down there, and although I did not go for the brazilian, i did get the bikini area done and I mean, it did NOT hurt whatsoever, I am really happy with this product. I regularly wax my armpits and eyebrows with the muslin strips and a different kind of wax, but after trying this out I don't think I will go back to muslin strips. This wax removed all the hair on the first try and like I said before, it did not hurt. This kit also comes with a video that shows you how you should use the product and how much wax you should put on, as well as, when it is ready to peel off. The video is graphic but seriously, like if you are old enough to get a brazilian, you are old enough to watch the video in a non-repulsive way or at least, I dont think it should bother you, because it is a good way to show you how to get the job done. Overall, this is an amazing product and will continue to use it! :D

My daughter was skeptical about going to a salon to have her legs waxed so we got this to have an at home spa experience. We would recommend that you allow all the wax to become soft before beginning the process or else you will have "strings" from the base unit draped across the surface to your legs and once it hardens, it hardens; give yourself the 5-7 minutes of extra time because clean up is then a breeze. My daughter liked being able to control the temperature of the wax and never did she complain about it being to hot or that it was burning her. The irony of our purchase is that my adult daughter who does go to a salon reported they use the same waxing kit and suggested that for future wax replacements we use the soft wax vs the hard wax and to get some of the paper peeling strips. The kit did not have these and we used coffee filters (remember this is home spa treatment) and were able to feel off longer "strips" vs rounded smaller strips rolled by hand.

The kit is beautifully packaged, arrived within only three days. I had watched several youtube videos on waxing prior to receiving package. It comes with a DVD, but my player wasn't working at the moment. So, after viewing those, I felt like an expert. Didn't order all the special stuff to go with it - you simply don't need it. Baby oil your face, blot dry. Lightly dust face with baby powder, and you're ready to wax. Put wax on IN DIRECTION of hair growth (get a little magnifying mirror to put on regular mirror). Wax only needs to stay on slightly over 60 seconds. You want it somewhat soft and pliable. Keeping wax strip close to face, quickly remove it in opposite direction (against hair growth direction). There was absolutely no pain, except a bit of discomfort right under my nose. It worked like a dream. Only thing was I had a rash next day. Used once again, and one application of walmart brand hydrocortisone ointment right afterward stopped rash cold. Excellent results. Only sorry I wasn't doing this the last 30 years. It's easy and NOT messy at all. Just like frosting a cake.

This is a perfect product if you are interested in waxing hair off of your cha-cha in the privacy of your own home. I'd never gotten a bikini wax in a salon before buying this and I see no reason to go to a professional for waxing now that I have this. The first time I used it I just worked in small sections and got used to the feel of product and everything went great! No anxiety, no disasters, no need to fear. And with the hard wax and pre-epilation oil, it's hardly painful at all. Here are some of the great things about this: Hard wax: this firms up into a plasticcy strip that can be pulled off without the use of a muslin strip. It hardens to a non-sticky consistency, meaning that it does not adhere to your skin, only to the hair that it traps and removes. So, if you drip some onto a very sensitive hairless area (ahem) you did not want to wax, it does not stick there, it comes right off!! It's easy to remove the errant drop from floors because unlike regular wax, it hardens to a brittle consistency. Pre-epilation oil: ALWAYS spread this on beforehand, and spread it everywhere. I've found that it keeps wax from sticking to skin at all. I coat my fingertips in this stuff too and the wax doesn't stick to my hands when I pull it off. I looked at the ingredients list on this and it's basically just soybean oil, so when I run out of it I imagine I could substitute it with any body-safe oil such as olive oil, argan oil, etc. The warmer: Melts fast, keeps the wax temperature safely warm. I like that the temperature is adjustable. It makes it easier to get right consistency for spreading. The cost of this kit is about half of what a hard-wax brazillian wax goes for in my overpriced city. I've been using this once every two weeks for the last 6 months and I'm only HALFWAY through the container of wax that came with the kit. Get this, put on some trashy TV in the background, and wax yourself smooth.

This wax kit is such a bargain. I feel like a thief getting away with it! The hard wax included waxes like a dream and is so much less painful. I was spending $9 every two weeks (bushy Italian eyebrows) to get mine waxed. This kit paid for itself in two and half months time. I've used it on my legs and armpits as well and I am still shocked how much this does not hurt. The key to the hard wax is to be generous and let it set on your hair long enough. Too little wax and you won't be able to pull it off. Flick up the edge, then grab hold of it firmly and pull. Works like a charm. Although I'm too chicken, I have used this to give my partner a Brazilian and she was in heaven. She had one bad experience at a salon and almost wouldn't let me give her one. Now she doesn't dread it and it gives great results! The hard wax does not cause irritation and is effective yet gentle on the skin. I have recommended this product over and over again.

Learning curve but managed to get the hang of it by the time I was done. So much better then buying the microwavable wax from the store.

This wax is amazing! I was a little scared because waxing is normally painful and since I had never done it by myself (and only 2 times at a salon like 2 years ago) I was expecting a painful disaster! Well, it wasn't. The wax was ready for using after ~30 min and then I kept turning it off and on in order to keep the wax with the perfect temperature (not too hot not too cold). The applied wax didn't break into pieces and didn't attach to the skin as advertised which was really nice. Also, the post-wax cream was a really nice touch to cool my recently waxed bikini area. The package arrived perfectly. Nothing was broken and nothing spilled. I am very very happy with the results! EDIT 3 years later: I'm still using the same warmer. I'm still loving it. Waxing has changed my life.
