I like that setup works over Bluetooth rather than depending on a 2.4GHz wifi connection. My wifi has same ID for 5GHz and 2.4GHz making it difficult for some other outlet manufacturer models. This one works around that nicely and then connects to wifi to exist within HomeKit environment.

Very inexpensive option that pairs quickly and easily with Apple HomeKit.

I have a house full of TP Link's Kasa devices, including plugs, on/off switches, dimmer switches, 3 way on/offs and 3 way dimmers.I needed 3 more smart plugs for our living room, and caught a brief sale on this Tapo 3 pack (clippable coupon and promotion code) which made them better priced than the Kasa line and the 3 count matched how many I needed.I wasn't seeking out Matter support, but figured it wouldn't hurt to get Matter compliant devices going forward. I didn't bother using the Matter capabilities at all - instead I added them through the Tapo app and they were also immediately recognized by Alexa. I also added them to Home Assistant.Addressing a couple points in other reviews -1. The Tapo app received a recent update and now also recognizes all my Kasa devices (I rarely use either the Kasa or Tapo app though).2. I wouldn't buy these solely because they support Matter - it's a relatively new standard and early adopters should expect some growing pains IMO. I suspect firmware updates will correct those issues. The smaller form factor of these is nice compared to older Kasa smart plugs. I use a Home Assistant automation that turns on all of our living room table lamps when we press a Caseta switch at the top of our stairs to turn on our downstairs hallway lights when we come downstairs in the morning. They work great. While I have them added to Alexa, I don't have any routines set up with them, but of course it's nice to voice control these through our Echos to avoid having to turn on/off 3 table lamps. I'm happy with this purchase.

These little plugs work great

I had a box of these and had resisted installing them, but when I did, and when I found out that they work flawlessly, I bought three more boxes. And, what is more they have a manual on-off button the side -- something with others, e. g. Kasa compatible switches, lack.

It is easy to install and works just great! I can control everything with my phone now!

This is perfect now that a firmware update added matter support. Don’t need a second app to control it or link to HomeKit. It just works. Very responsive to commands via iOS Home app.

We changes our Wi-Fi gateway and our old plugs didn’t want to connect. They were tough to deal with in the 1st place.Bought them based on reviews and Xfinity having these on a compatible list. I’ve only had them 1 day and will be using for Xmas tree and my leg lamp.Downloaded the app, get it all set up, plugged one in and Boom! I had it connected in less than a minute. Realized I plugged it into the upper socket when I wanted the lower socket, so I moved it down and it reconnects without issue. Followed all instructions to connect it to Alexa and they are now voice controlled.Plugged the next 2 in and connection seemed easier. I was confused I did something wrong since it seemed like less steps. My only criticism is that I bought the 3 pack instead of a 4 pack 🤦♂️.Highly, highly recommended.
